There are 2 reasons why I'm not even trying this. 1st reason is that the only sport I like to play is dodge ball. 2nd reason is I could NEVER get 99 points.

Seishiro Leonheart: I will not beat you here. Like I said, I can't play sports games for crap. A for your other question about my scores, it is mainly because I own most of the games I have high scores in. It helps when you have had them for 15-20 years before finding this site

Hey david, i saw that the submitted scores have 99 points in them, i think its because they played in 2-player mode without having another person play in it, then they easily got past the computer and scored a lot,  is this trick allowed in this contest, i need to know soon.

While it's possible someone might get that good where they never allow the computer to score... part of me wonders if they just did a 2 player game and made player 2 quickly throw an interception each time to give them more time to score points on offense.

I've never been able to muster up a run that didn't result in the CPU scoring at least ONE touchdown... but then again, I suck at football games and have no real experience... so I have no real place to speak from of how it's done. I'm just a little skeptical and have long given up since there's no way I could score 99 points and give up none without cheating.

A note for David in the future: for sports game high score competitions, I recommend you require entrants to use the new recording plugin that's being developed to log the entire game. One single screenshot does not show the settings they had or how many players were picked or anything else fishy.

In fact, I recommend that you require video proof for any high score competitions in which its possible for the player to pick some setting or menu option that will allow them to essentially cheat the competition.

Crazy Li : Actually, I think it has been discussed that that will end up happening. This year, more quite a few high score competitions ended up being a "Who can use the manipulation to max the score the quickest" contest. I admit, I partook in that for the Street Fighter one, and I'm not exactly proud of it.
