Yeah, sometimes. I typically find it hard though. I feel like I'm bad at coming up with clever names, but I guess it doesn't really matter because no one is gonna be judging me on them. The most clever name I've ever come up with was for my Treecko, and it was Freecko. Get it? It's dumb, I'm sorry.

I give my Pokémon Nicknames often because for one I do Nuzlockes Mostly so That means I need to nickname them, and also because If you Nickname them it seems just a little more special then just calling your Pokémon whatever its original name is. What's gonna Stand out A Pokémon with the original name or a Crazy Pokémon with a crazy Nickname!

Unless I plan on only playing to test the very beginning of an edited version I made, and plan to abandon the save, I always nickname Pokémon.  Most of the names are two words put together like Leafblade or Fireflare.

In PMD if I accidentally allow someone to join that I kick out immediately, I also don't name them.

I never nick name my pokemon because If I came up with a nick name for a pokemon it would be really stupid and I like the names the way they are because since I'm American these pokemon names are really fascinating because most of them play a role in the Japanese culture. I also don't nick name my little pokemon because I am not emotionally attached because it is just a video game not a little puppy. I don't like to nick name pokemon because it takes up too much time if I nick name a pokemon in the wild also because I just catch so many pokemon I would lose track of who is who.
