I never thought it was a big deal.
Seirously, what the hell is with the obsession with death? I can put up with people glorifying death and all, but it makes me wonder.
I cried at my grandfather's death, but I couldn't really feel it. It was tears of... politeness? Hell, the guy lived in another country, lived a goshdarn full life, (hell, so full, I'd love to die like him) and I saw him when I was three. He was a stranger.  Of course, I will cry if one of my family members (Immediate, anyways) dies, but anyone else... I dunno.

So, after that part making no sense, here's a more organized version of it.
Death is inevitable, and I usually don't cry at other people's death. I sometimes feel pissed when large portions of people are brought to an untimely end, but I feel nothing for the individual himself. I know I sound like a cold, heartless person, but I think it's stupid to go "DAMN THIS GUY DIED THAT I KIND OF KNEW SOB SOB SOB". I mean, my dentist died in a motorcycle accident, and my parents chastised me for simply going, "That guy was stupid to go riding 80 miles on a motorcycle on a road with twists and turns."

So, basically, I'll feel something if someone close dies, but otherwise, eh.

What do you think of death? Does every death in the world somehow reach your soul? Or do you just not give a fawk?

I haven't seen a whole lot of death in my lifetime, but I cried when my dad's mother died. I suppose part of it is how unexpected it was. But I certainly only mourn someone's death for selfish reasons. I cried because I miss her, not because I feel sorry for her. At the time, I believed in an afterlife, and if a god existed who rewards those who are good then she's certainly being rewarded. Now I believe that after we die we're just gone. There is no reason for me to feel sorry for her. But I cried anyway.

With regards to complete strangers dying, I do care a little. But that usually depends on the story, and I usually care because of those they left behind. I remember a story where a man was driving down the highway, drunk, and suddenly turned the car around, sped up, and slammed into another car head on. The man they killed was in his twenties and left behind a brand new wife and a young child. Stories like that stick with me, despite my not having any personal connection with the deceased.

I haven't really seen any death on a personal level but if they do die I would be sad also if someone who had a great impact on the world dies (ie. Stephen Hawking and others when they do die) I would also mourn but for everyone else your last sentence said it best.

Death. When I was little, there was always this elderly man who would call me buddy and I found him to be an enjoyable person. He died 3 months ago and I was sad to hear about it because I would've always met him in our building and he was so nice. Then my babysitter. When I was 6-7, I had an elderly babysitter who was very nice. He would always act positive even on the darkest days. He was one day diagnosed with cancer and was still enjoying life. Then one day in the month of August 09 (That year I was about 10) I was told he was dead and I was so sad that I couldn't stop thinking about him.

Honestly, I only cried about Death once... When one of my pets died.

Until the moment, I never cried about the death of a person. I think if somebody close to me dies. I would cry.

I don't know if I would cry if someone I didn't know died. It has never happened before. It does not mean I'm cold blooded. It simply means that I don't know him or her enough to express that kind of emotion. I have cried when my dad's mother died, she was an awesome granny who believe in god strongly. I respected that women for who she was and did. I also cried when my new born twin cousins died as soon as they were given birth to by my ti - ti ( aunt ), they were too small and died because of that. Hearing that made me cry for a long period of time cause I thought " Hey, I'm about to have twin cousins. I can't wait to see them and watch them grow up ".  I don't like hearing death happen among the people I know and love. Believe it or not it can change you into a different person for some time just like my dad. I wish death was something that did not happen at all but than this world would become even more unbalanced than it already is. Death balances life and it's something everyone will eventually experience. With this saying, everyone should live their life to the fullest .

TheNameWithNoNumbers : Death is just a part of life.  People come and go, like every other part of life.  People move, people grow apart, you have friends that used to be in your life and are gone now.  Death is like that too.

I don't mind it, I don't fear it, I just don't want it to hurt too much.

Well as far as Death goes, I wouldn't want to think about it at the moment, I'm gonna sit back and enjoy my life while I still have it....

Death is not normally something I think about.
Last death I had was when my uncle died a few years ago, but I didn't really feel it 'cos I rarely seen him!

I have always wondered what the experience of death was like, but I believe that there is a time for us all to experience it. I don't think that dying is something we should all fear, I think we should accept it we can't just wander around afraid of our own shadows everyday of our life. I know that this sounds kind of negative but the true meaning of life is to die, we are born carry out our existence and then we pass on. Of course we should all make the best out of the life we have currently, and I understand the hurt people feel when a loved one does pass over but you never know maybe there is a small remnant of that person somewhere maybe even closer than you think. It's not like you can truly forget about a person.

Death is something that used to sadden me all the time; I lost quite a few family members rather quickly. (Disease and Old Age) Some of them, I cried for. Others, I didn't. Actually, I only cried for one of my family members dying - and that was my Aunt Lisa. I loved her rather dearly. But I still didn't cry much. For my animals, I've shed a rather decent number more tears. I am not sure; I suppose I connect better with the animals than with the humans.

With the humans, they had the choice of living their life. What they did with it is their problem.
For the animals, the cats... the dogs. They had to live - or not live in the case of some - the way that we dictated. So I suppose I feel more towards the furry four-legged critters than the naked two-leggeds.

Even if the animal was stillborn, in the case of several puppies, I still cried. Or, if they were doomed to death from the get go, as some of the puppies and kittens I know of were... I did my best to care for them while they were alive - and cried when they passed.

Of course when someone close to me dies I cry like a baby. Whether it's a pet or person, I cry and I feel a lot of sorrow. If it's someone else, I try to comfort the people I know, because I know how it feels to lose someone close to me. I think I am a very sympathetic person. I don't like not caring, I don't really know why but I have to care either way.
