well I keep seeing screen shot failed.

I checked to see if I could retrieve any still but no luck.

The game is Yoshi's island for SNES.

Thanks for trying to help, I tried the 3 different yoshi's islands, and none of them worked. However, I was able to screen shot fine with Super Mario World, which is also a SNES game

I know the problem, but not the cause. The problem is with the file names - I could fix it but it would cause any saves for that game that anyone currently has to become unusable.

Well there is a work-around if I create a new page in the RGR with the fixed file name - but that would only be a duplicate game in the RGR which I don't want. And if I did do that, I'd deactivate the game after the competition which wouldn't really look good for record's sake.

You can use the print screen button on your key board and paste it in paint and edit it to your liking or use puush program which will take a screen of a certain area.
