Luigi is so much better. Enough said right there. But everyone has their own opinions, so if you like Mario more, or hate them both with a burning passion, I respect you opinion, even though I highly disagree with it.

   I prefer the character of Mario greater than I prefer the character of Luigi. Although the personality of the character of Luigi is much more enthusiastic, I would choose Mario as a character considering he is the more mobile and tougher character, at least usually.

Luigi is better but he gets overshadowed by Mario. At least I can relate more to Luigi than Mario. Mario is just overrated, hogs too much glory, and wants to eat cake and spaghetti. Luigi should have more fame since after all, he is one of the good guys and shouldn't be left out.

Luigi has lots of abilities such as jumping high, walking on water, and much more meanwhile Mario's abilities seem to be always the same like punching and kicking.

I wish Nintendo would try to balance the games out for other Mario characters rather than just mainly focus on Mario. We have other heroes like Luigi and Yoshi, you know?

I really think both Mario Brothers equal out and what the other one is weak in the other one makes up for it.  Mario cannot jump that high in most games, but he has strength. Luigi is the better jumper as in most games he can jump high. Luigi is also a better runner and more faster than Mario. However I'm glad to see Luigi over the past two years get his own games such as Luigi's Mansion I and II. Both Brothers are pretty good if you ask me
