Mario and Mario 3 are definitely memorable ones, but I know I had a lot of fun playing Xenophobe. Once the SNES came out and every single kid's brain had finished melting from the amazing 16-bit graphics and sound, it was all about Super Mario Kart and Super Mario World. If you're not old enough to have been able to experience this amazing shift in gaming, I feel sorry for you.

I'm only 13 but I had a Nintendo and genesis, I loved river city ransom played sonic a lot, Mario was okay then along came the game boy and Pokémon was amazing, n64 was AMAZING loved almost every game I had ( Mario tennis, Mario 64, yoshi story, LoZ Oot just to name a few), game cube has good game like Luigi's mansion, ds has even more Pokémon, wii has a little of everything, an 3ds is well...3d

Eirinn : Yeah! Super Mario Advance 2 was one of my first GBA games, and it included Super Mario World and the original Mario Bros.  I loved playing that game, sadly I beat it multiple times so it gets a bit boring after a while :/

The Legend of Zelda series and Super Smash Bros. series will remain timeless for me. My first was A Link to the Past, while one of the more challenging, and while I've only come semi-close to ever winning it, I love it. But when I came to Ocarina of Time, that all changed for quite some time, and then much later Majora's Mask (GameCube collector's disk bit).

Smash Bros., my younger brother and me would be so competitive with that series. I would never be able to get enough.

Honourable mentions goes to the Mario Bros. series and Sonic the Hedgehog. Some of the first games I ever played, just as timeless.
