Suggestion/Bug: Layouts disappearing after editing post

As the title suggests, my layout disappears after I edit my post. While editing posts, I can see the layout codes in the header and signature, but when I save my post, my layout is no longer visible. It would be nice if an administrator, or someone else with the privilege to do this, could fix this bug in the next site update. Thank you.

Yeah, it's not a bug. It's a "feature". A terrible feature, in my opinion, but they don't care about that. There are a couple workarounds, though, if you care enough.

The first one is something you may prefer. Click Edit Profile & Settings, then scroll down to the options and find where it says "Signatures and post headers". Select "Auto-updating" and your layout won't disappear when you edit a post. All your posts from before you had a layout or when you had a different layout will now have your current layout as well. However, for other people everything will remain as it was. So this option only changes things for you.

The other option is to put your layout back into your post when you edit. As your editing your post, copy the code from the header and signature. Before submitting your edit, preview it and you'll be able to paste the header and signature back into their respective boxes.
