Well, the only one that currently has a link is FFX and FFX-2. And the link was.. vauge...

However it might be interesting to know, they are considering making a game to link FFVII to FFX (not sure how that would work) furthermore i doubt he was aware of that happening...

Every Final Fantasy game has a character named Cid (that I'm aware of).

Most Final Fantasy games have a Biggs and Wedge.

Every Final Fantasy game has a Chocobos (that I'm aware of).

Most Final Fantasy games have Moogles

A lot of Final Fantasy games use Gil as currency

A few Final Fantasy games have a Tonberry and a Cactuar

i think that final fantasy legend 2 has the back story for final fantasy 6. if you look at the old version of ff6, they refer to the war of magi which happens to be the story for ff legend 2.
