I like to watch a lot of conspiracy videos on all kinds of topics and i recently watched a video about "the chip". Supposedly all americans will have a choice on getting this ID chip implanted. In the video this person stated that the chip would not only be used for an id but also would be used for money like a credit system! Supposedly those who don't take the chip can not buy, sell or get health care (pres obahmas health care plan). Is this what the bible fortold about taking the number of the beast in the forehead or the hand just to buy and sell? Would you take the chip letting the government control your life beyond your rights in the constition of America?

The chip isn't natural I really believe if the body didn't come with it, you shouldn't have it anyway. This also will take away a lot of constitutional rights. I can't really say what right at the moment but they will find away to take away a lot of our rights...

Something just scares me about the chip. I think it goes too far. I don't chip my pets. If they want to run away and be free so be it. So far all my cats come home at the end of the day. If I don't chip my pets I won't chip myself.

jlh : I don't believe the claims from the person you mentioned, but I personally wouldn't get a chip put in my body for that reason and I think it would be pretty awful if we were forced to as well.

Anyways, wouldn't matter to me either way if I get this chip or not. If it makes life a lot simpler for me, then there shouldn't be a reason as to why not, Nya~.

Blessedj01 : Nope, not a problem in my opinion. It seems like it would even help stop things such as identity theft, since all your information is now kept in that chip. Plus, it seems like the ones that would have the biggest problems with this chip are the religious ones, and as I've made it very clear across the board, I'm not religious in any way (Except Haruhiism).

Okay, well I respect your opinion but I would like you to think about further.

For example, instead of stopping identity theft, it could open up a whole new category. One example is that you could be held against your will because you would literally become an ATM card.

This is not a religious debate and I hope you're not leaping to accept something being forced into your body simply because you want to defy religion.

I would never get this chip. It does sound awful biblical like the mark of the beast. I have heard about this chip before over the years. I've always hoped it would come after my time because I wanna live a full life.

I wouldn't like the idea of having a chip implanted in my head, it would just allow people to gather information on me that I don't necessarily wish to share. Something like this could easily have a GPS or some sort of recording device along with a way to transmit it.

I also have my doubts that this will actually happen. Considering they would have to cut open everybody to implant the chip in their head (ignoring the cost of manufacturing the chips for everyone) would cost quite a bit of cash. I also doubt that people would be forced to purchase this themselves merely because many people can't afford to.
