I'd have to say Pok?mon. Back maybe when I was 7 or something I'd been told about it by my sister and I thought it was unpopular (as nobody else I knew knew about it). That is obviously wrong.


I suck at the majority of video games, but Pok?mon allows me to gain experience from what I do, including going back to previous areas (a favourite of me to train for video games), allowing me to eventually progress regardless of whether my skill level improved or not.

From this I know very much about it. Like any Pok?mon fan who's dedicated enough to get properly into the series, I know the names of all the Pok?mon, most, if not all of their types, I know the competitive details that people use for Wi-Fi battling and stuff, such as EVs and moves by breeding (though I don't tend to take advantage of them).

I was never old enough to understand the series when I played some of the first games, and I've made various mistakes... Either way though, I think my opinion would stay that it's only gotten better over the years.


Mario and Sonic are nice, but eh. 

My favorite gaming franchise is Final Fantasy because I love RPG

My favorite game series is got to be Pokémon because he's got my favorite character in the gam and I think everyone knows who that is SNORLAX oh yeah

Maybe Grand Theft Auto. So much replayibility with hours of chaos fun in store!

My favorite gaming franchise is the Zelda series. I was actually very surprised to see this wasn't a choice on here.

It has to be Persona, especially 3 and 4, just amazing games and I am so exited for Persona Q and Persona 5! Dancing all night, meh, not my kind of game, but yeah Persona is awesome!

Honestly, my favourite gaming franchise is Pokémon, it still is for now.

Knowledge



I'd say for knowledge, the best Pokémon game is Pokémon Link (it's like bejewelled, candy crush saga etc.)

Dungeon



For dungeons I'd say Pokémon: Mystery Dungeon (Explorers of Darkness)

Capturing



For capturing I'd say Pokémon Ranger franchises because well you need to capture them all.

Overall



For overall I'd say Pokémon Pearl Version as I've played it for YEARS and I rarely do now, but I'm still trying to beat Tycoon Palmer.

My favorite video game franchise would be the Oddworld games. The games give me a perfect nostalgic feeling. This was the best thing from the 90's and the early 2000's. My favorite out of all of them would be Oddworld Abe's exoddus.

My favorite game franchise would have to be Final Fantasy. I've played at least 17 Final Fantasies and they're all amazing and addictive (except FFT). If it wasn't for FFT the franchise would be perfect. I love how they re-use everything in their games, and I love they're characters, my favorite being Kuja.

That'd have to be the Max Payne series. I loved every installment, and whenever I play one of the games, I always enjoy it thoroughly.

Pokemon just because of the franchise as a whole. I really love playing the games and talking with other people within the Pokemon community.

An honorable mention goes out to Kingdom Hearts it's a close runner up such an epic game series can't wait for Kingdom Hearts 3....Even though i don't have next gen console

I'm a huge Final fantasy fan, FF7 was the first FF game i played and got hooked from the start, they have good story lines/plots and they are games that take me weeks to complete so i never get bored.

My favorite video game franchise of all time would have to be Sonic the Hedgehog.

My favorite would have to be The Legend of Zelda. I admit there are a lot of very popular game series that I have never played (that will soon change thanks to the RGR) but Zelda just goes way back for me. I was only 3 years old when Ocarina of Time came out, but I still remember watching/playing it on my brother's Nintendo 64, along with link to the past on the Super Nintendo.

I did once try a subscription to Nintendo Power and as soon as one of the articles made me realise Ocarina of time was that game I played when I was little, I knew I wanted to get it. I picked up a physical copy of the game for around three dollars at a yard sale. In the end I just downloaded an electronic copy of the game onto the Wii and played it using virtual console. I found that my memories of the game were greatly embellished, but it was still fun.

Over the years this series has brought many new things to gaming, the original Legend of Zelda was the first home console game with a save feature, Ocarina of Time (along with Super Mario 64) was one of the games that proved 3D game worlds where a viable option, and Twilight Princess brought motion control to the table and proved that Zelda can be a smooth and intuitive experience (even aside from the motion controlled aspects.)

Well, that's my take on it. I'll be sure to check out all the other game series I missed out on. (insert clever/generic closing word here.)

I love the Final Fantasy series, could play them again and again never seem to get bored of them. I'm also a huge fan of the Resident Evil games.

Mine's would have the be PES. I grew up with it and yes it is a sports game and some would say it is repetitive but so is Pokemon and that series has had more success than PES. The best one to me was PES 5 as it was the best soccer game at the time and was far ahead of FIFA. Now they are both even.

Castlevania. Best. Franchise. Ever. If only there weren't 3D games

castlevania,  I love it from classic, metroidvania, to the 3d games.  kingdom hearts cause I love the characters, the mythos, the gameplay, and the worlds. The witcher game series too because well when I finally played the first game I lost track of the time, that is how immersing it is to me, the world is dark and fantastic, the story is mature and great, characters are great, and i enjoy how it plays.

Castlevania in my early years, Souls games since they started coming out.

Sonic The Hedgehog is my favorite gaming franchise! Played it ever since I was 5! My first game was Sonic 3 & Knuckles, and Sonic 3 & Knuckles is actually my favorite Sonic game, and favorite video game of all time! I remember those days! I used to suck, but now I am really good! SEGAAA!!!
