In summary; slightly younger teen in spandex with webs goes after an over sized reptile in barely fitting clothing!

I'm really not interested in seeing it. I understand they're doing a darker take on it, but Spider Man was always the hero who didn't need to be dark and brooding to be awesome. Batman pulls of the "brooding" thing perfectly well and that's awesome, but there's no need to turn Spider Man into a "tortured soul". Having him break down those couple of times over the death of his uncle was plenty enough sadness. We don't need a whole movie of him being depressed.

I just saw the movie. I thought it was pretty good. I mean in the last iteration of Spider-Man we see Norman get ticked off enough to incinerate his entire board of Oscorp! No use hiding the darker side of things. They emphasized his wounds a bit more in this one, but he's strong, not invincible. Not the end of the world to show he's only a mutated human being in the end.

I enjoyed the previous films quite a bit. When I heard they were giving the series a reboot I wasn't too thrilled, but after seeing the trailer I actually really want to see it now. 
Sure, it's going to be 'darker' than the other films but Spider-Man's life isn't always sunshine and rainbows.

I haven't actually seen it yet. I want to just to see how it differs from the Original SpiderMan films. I am guessing it's not going to live up to the first three because it has all different actors. I was really disappointed when I saw Toby wasn't going to play the character.
