....forever.

It's time. I've been putting this off for over a year now. I've tried to remain active and interested in Vizzed but I haven't been able to. I've tried holding different staff positions and what not and I still can't remain active. It's time to accept the fact that my life has pushed me away from Vizzed. I don't have the time or desire to be here anymore.

This isn't a sob story about how Vizzed has changed or how it's "newbish" or anything like that. I don't feel like I fit in here anymore. To be honest I never really fit in very well to begin with but it's only gotten worse with time.

I also don't have a love of Vizzed like I used to. For David it's got to be different because he built this place himself. I've been the right-hand man for a lot of the growth here but in the end it's not "mine" and I don't feel any more attachment to Vizzed.

I'll still come and post once in a while and check in and such but I should never be staff again. I'm fooling anyone if I say I can post here and be active enough to be staff. It's not possible and hasn't been for a while.

Whenever I see that a Mod has posted in this section, without it being in a stickied thread, I always start to get paranoid and worry about it being a thread like this. I only wish that I was wrong this time around.

You've been a staff member for as long as I can remember, whether it be global, admin, or that one time I remember you being an actual local mod. However, each time you had gone down from those, you always did return back at some point. I guess everything has to come to its own final ending at one point.

It seems almost obvious that with this thread of yours, there's pretty much no way of convincing you otherwise, even though trying to do so wouldn't be much of a friend-like thing to do for you.

Anyways, hope everything turns out good in the end for you, and that you do show up some times to post and whatnot. For me, it's gonna be pretty different around here without seeing that bar above your name again. See ya.

MegaRevolution1 : if there were even a slight chance of it making a difference then I would want you to but I know it won't. I've taken months to make this decision but I know it's time. I can't keep pretending that I'm contributing to Vizzed as a staff member when I go days between posts/visits. It's time for me to move aside and let others lead.

Geeo you have been one of the first mods to really talk to me. I remember sharing stories about your daughter and my little sister. I don't know if you remember but I do!

Anyway I have noticed you have been battling this thought for a long time. You did quit a few months back then you came back as a local then you went back to admin... Then you stopped being active... So I knew this was coming.

I will say this that you have nothing to be sorry about. Coming to a site like this is for entertainment. Your real life comes first. For a time you had the time to help out with the site, just now you can't. I have gone through this and I understand it.

You were an global mod when I first signed up. It was pretty awesome to see your username in white, even though the actual color is brown. A few months later, you became an admin. In fact, you were the first person to IP ban me, but on another account( you know what I mean)

Geeo, it sucks to see you step down, but I will never forget some things you did, except for you IP banning me. I wanted to see what would happen. You might have to step down because of real life, but when you're active again, i'm sure you'll be a staff member again. One day, it will happen

starwars293 : I won't be active again. That's the real point. I know this but I've lived in denial for a while. I held on to Vizzed because it's been so much of my life for 7-8 years. I won't even be staff again either. It won't happen.

I have a memory from when I first signed up, in my 2nd vizzed post in lifetime, in your "Ask Geeogree anything" thread, when I summoned you, your name was orange just like the global mod position, when I looked at it a few weeks ago, I went "What? " because back then in June 2010, you were global. That was my only memory of you.


This is a sad thing to have happen to one of Vizzed's legendary members (geeogree), a step down, I don't know what position you might end up with when you step yourself down.

Being there for literally forever for my part has been big. Your legacy of being a global has definitely left its mark, I can assure you that.
I kind of figured that this would happen soon seeing you will never be as active like the previous years around. We'll miss you, geeo.

I feel the same way... that I am living in denial. I have been trying to stay active, to force myself to stay on vizzed, because I can't seem to find something else that holds my interest like Vizzed Board. I once spent an entire day google'ing forum sites, and could not find anything... I might come here to play games every now and then, but tight now I am just posting out of habit.

Well, Geeo. Being an inactive member who just returned to Vizzed myself, I'm rather surprised to the fact you came back and got re-promoted to admin and now is leaving again. (That's what you get from being inactive, haha.)

I'm sad to see you go, but I do hope you can stay in touch from time to time, but if you don't have time to do that, I'd understand. Real life always come first. You've definitely made your mark around here as a Global and as an admin for Vizzed. I can really imagine legacies about you being passed down to generations of Vizzed users, heh. But of course, if there's a break in your life or something, return! That's what I just did, really. I thought I was going to leave Vizzed forever due to my life and the state of mind I was in, calling the site too low for my tastes and everything. Look at me now, I returned because I was bored and I felt like I wanted to do something in the summer. Now I'm posting and talking to people in Vizzed Chat and stuff like that.

Seriously, take care of yourself and good luck in your life. c:

Your name inspires fear and dread among those who know who you are (so everyone except soxfan849).

Your prescence is like having a binky when you are staff. And now you've weened us off.

We will be lost for a moment. Confused even. Some of us may feel abandoned.

But we will live. Because you gave us the tools for life. You gave us all we needed to get by without you.

The children will become the world. The very world you helped create for them. Then we will step down/leave/explode and let the next children take our place.

You have been around so long, not having you around feels odd. I already feel empty. My soul hungers for the fun days of geeo and DH, and when I didn't have to do a job.

Those days are gone, and they are not coming back.

But there is a happy ending. You went out on your own terms. Rather than being demoted for posting porn or something silly. That'd be ridiculous.

It has been one thing to not see you posting often, but it is an entirely different thing to see you step down permanently. Perhaps your lack of posting cushions the blow, but when it does hit it will still hurt. Even so, there is no rhyme or reason to hold anything against you. How could I? You made Vizzed a place for me vent my emotions when I needed it most --when I could not do so anywhere else-- and that helped me ask God for the strength to open up to friends and family after living with depression for a year.

I do not want to make your departure any more bittersweet than it already is, but that is just what happens when everyone reflects on the impact you have made in their lives. I hope to see you when you pop in to say hello. Thanks for everyone, Geeo. God bless.

legacyme3 : yeah.... I really don't know what's going to happen without me... but wasn't this the same reaction that we had when DH left? Who was going to fill his shoes and carry on? Well, people stepped up and we've got a new group of globals running the show. The same goes for me. People will step up and fill the void.... maybe not completely but it will happen.

as for the rest who posted here - you will be missed.... and I will miss posting with everyone here. Well, I'll still post a bit but it won't be the same.

Oh well, just know that you will be missed Geeo, but at the same time, you were bound to leave Vizzed soon anyways, not to be rude or anything like that.

Markeith21 : I'm actually surprised I lasted this long. It's the longest I've ever been on a forum. I've spent a year or 2 at different places but not 7 and a half. Well, not while being as active as I've been.

Well even though I've been here for over 2 years i never really actually spoke to you, I do however know the importance of what you have done for the site and that you will be greatly missed. All things have to come to an end at some point, It's better to leave willingly than unwillingly also.
