Do you users see where this is traveling?

Hi and Welcome!

I don't think that adding CD-I would be possible... However, we still have a lot of good system you can also enjoy... Now, Tell us a bit about you. We can meet better in that way.

See ya.

Erm.. duke pie, you know the Newbie Forum isn't just for Newbies to put every thread - it's for your self-introduction. I'm going to move this to H-Q/C-S, and give you another shot at making a Newbie thread, if you want.

I have to say if it is a cd system it might be hard for it to get on this site. David is trying to add popular cd game systems, but it's hard to do with how much memory they take up. I'm leaving this open in case anyone from RGR can give a better response.

The determining factor for this would be the size of the games. The reason why most disc based systems like Playstation and anything newer than that aren't here is because the games are just too large for the server to handle without crashing the moment we get a few people playing them at once. The bandwidth isn't large enough. But looking Philps CDI up a little, it looks like they might be pretty close to the size of the games that Fanicom Disc System has. But I can't really find anything that tells me how large the games are on average.

Davideo7 : Since you are a collector, I'm sure you have more knowledge than I do in regards to the size of the games for this particular system and if the site can handle it.

We're not ready for disc games yet, especially since they'd cost a lot. Plus I'm not even sure if there is a good emulator out there for CD-i games. If I was going to do a CD system, there'd be a lot of other systems I'd do before CD-i.

rcarter2 : I actually had a CD-i when I was younger and they are disc based. Not only that but it was sort of a multimedia system. Most of the games had videos in them. If I was to take a guess, I'd say their games are larger than most CD systems, including PSX and DC (well technically DC wasn't CD, it was GD).

Alright then. That answers the question, so I will go ahead and close this to prevent spam.
