We've had several fire alarms go off, but we've never had an actual fire. One night, a guy burnt popcorn and set off the fire alarms. Me and my roommates were irked because it was right in the middle of winter, and we didn't have time to grab our shoes and jackets.

Well , I did have a small microwave fire in my middle school once
and the entire school building had to evacuate . Good thing
nothing serious happened .

I've been lucky so far that I never had a fire at school, but I've heard the fire bell ring, because someone broke the fire thing glass and pushed the button, making it ring.

No, but we had a bomb threat... Besides that, just a lot of fire drills. xD

No, but the last day of school last year someone pulled the fire alarm literally 2 minutes before class was excused.

No, but my school almost blew up. It was kind of freaky. After an hour or 2 into school, I just started smelling this gas, especially in the science room. I hear the principle over the speaker telling to evacuate immediately. I guess gas was leaking from somebody else's house nearby and it got into the ventilation system. Nothing happened, they just opened the windows to clear it out and let us back in.

No witch kind is a good thing for other people

First, off, let me state that I'm a teacher!   A young one, but a teacher nonetheless!  (This will probably be my favorite forum board section!  LOL)

Anyhow, I -have- experienced a fire at my school!!!  The funniest bit was that it was during the very last day of work!  There weren't even any students in the building!  It was an electrical fire on the second floor (our school has three floors).

I had no idea what was going on, and my classroom is on the first floor.  I had gone to make copies of something or the other, and was heading back to my classroom when I was met with a wall of teachers telling me I couldn't go to my room!  I asked if I could at least grab my bag and the assistant principal wouldn't let me take the three steps to my classroom door.  It was very amusing, as the fire was very isolated and there was no evidence of the fire at all. No one would tell me what was going on.

I found out when the fire truck got there.  All the female teachers were just hovering around the front door in boredom, and they began to fake-swoon.  "Oh help me!  Take me away!"  They were fanning their hands at the firemen and acting ridiculous...I couldn't help but laugh!

Before that though, I had been focusing on my work, and one teacher said that I had this look which made her think I was ready to kill someone.  She said that she had been the teacher to report the fire, and she hid behind another teacher and apologized for disrupting my work. For the rest of the day, she kept hiding from me behind other teachers and joking about it.  It was fun because most of my co-workers don't interact with me at all and we don't know each other.

So I have to say that the day we had a fire was probably one of my most enjoyed days of the year!

Last semester the ventilation in one of the science labs blew up. Firemen went on the roof, and fixed it. Meanwhile, the entire student body was panicking, because we had no idea what was going on.

yeah 1 time..not big fire though..and it was kinda we guys fault

Do the students setting the trash cans on fire count? We had to evacuate repeatedly because of that... students would go in the bathrooms, smoke, and not pay attention when they threw the cigs out. The trash cans caught fire a lot until they added cameras.

Yes my school did have a fire before. Some stupid freshman in my high school thought it would be funny to start a fire in the school. So the person decided to put the garbage can on fire. Man I swear that the 9 graders are just plain stupid.
