I personally use the Jerusalem Bible, although I am currently saving up for an Orthodox Study Bible.  The KJV is ok, in fact the "love chapter" is absolutely gorgeous in the archaic English, but beyond that, not a real big fan of King Jimmy's attempt to make himself look good in the ol' history books....

I stick with the NKJV mostly because that's the translation that our church uses.  I also like the ESV.  I don't like the message though, seems to paraphrase many things.

Currently I'm reading for my personal read in the New King James since the King James I don't really speak and thus don't understand.
