This is a thread about your most BRILLIANT fails. Such as when I was playing Age of Empires. I had it them in this brilliant strategic corner. Turns out my enemy had a worker that managed to get away somehow and BAM! The next thing I know is that there is a new enemy capital with plenty of manpower right NEXT to my home base. Turns out the guy had plenty of gold... And MY troops are nowhere near to defend it... So I recruit as many people as possible while I destroy his old base. But in 5 minutes it was game over.

Stuff like that. So, tell me.

Do fails count when you fail to see something directly in front of you? I was looking for a book (name and importance long forgotten) and I was struggling to find it. My mom finally notices that I am freaking out and asks me what is wrong. I tell her I am looking for my book and without missing a beat goes over to a nearby chair (Where I looked very carefully!) and holds it up. I felt really dumb because it wasn't hiding under anything!

Oh wow. I got one for you.

One of my most brilliant fails ever happened while I was in Basic Training for the Army (I am in AIT right now).
I had to wake up for an hour shift in the middle of the night. I did my shift, and my duties, and then went to wake up the next 2 guys that where suposed to be on duty next. So I go find one of the guys, and tap his shoulder *tap tap tap*, and he sits straight up. Our foreheads meet, and he falls right back down knock out, asleep again. I'm like... "uhhh....". I decide to check the name tag on his locker... it's the right spot... just the wrong side of the room. XD I woke up with a massive headache and a knot on my head... he had one on his head, and said he had one hell of a good sleep that night... lucky guy, and epic fail me. XD
