I personally think that same-sex marriage is perfectly fine. I mean, if you disagree with it, then what you're saying is that two gay people who love each other have less of a right to get married than two straight people who hate each other. And I think that as long as reciprocated love is involved, all forms of marriage should be legal. And I do put emphasis on the reciprocated part of it, because you don't want people marrying inanimate objects, or animals. That just wouldn't make sense.

Its disgusting. Is unnatural for people to do that. But is their choice. Have a happy life or not.

On the subject, I don't see why gay or bi people can't marry who they want. It's not fair, and something stupid. If you love somebody, that it's love. It doesn't matter what sexuality you have. There is no reason for gays and gay marriage should be looked down upon by society. They are the same as anyone else.

Hey, I see nothing wrong with it. I found my boyfriend on christianmingle.com! I'm clearly kidding...but in all seriousness...I'd love it if I was to marry my boyfriend, and he wants the same.  I firmly believe in equal rights to ALL. And equal is being able to love, and marry, whoever you want. Religion has nothing to do with it...that's all based on one's view...the people who wants to get married should get married if they want to. Whether that be two males, two females or a male and female, I think it's fine by me, but maybe my judgement is biased due to me being in a relationship with another man. Anyways, that's MY viewpoint. Keep this going, I read ALL 13 pages in deep interest.

That's a big arrogant don't you think? Intimate relationships are inherently disgusting, no matter who the consenting partners are.

Homosexuality isn't natural? as opposed to what, homosexuality being supernatural? Homosexuality is absolutely natural, even if homo sapiens were the only species on the planet to have homosexual behaviors(which of course they're not), it would still be natural, because we are part of the natural world.

Allowing homosexuals the right to marry is just a small part of the battle, the main battle is getting over these archaic and bigoted views about homosexuals so we as a culture can accept them as they are.

I am a Christian but as of now.. I feel like it's their choice and we as Christians do not have the right to judge those who want to get married as the same gender. I know God tells us that it is wrong but I also feel like God wouldn't want me sitting around like some and putting them down saying things horrible that some others do in the world. I want to respect all and treat all with the respect they deserve and the kindness that God would want me to give just like I would with anybody. I feel like in the end God will be very proud of me.

People should be allowed to marry whoever they want regardless of their sexual orientation. I guess I can see how some people are against it because they consider it to be a "sin", but everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I have no problems at all with gay people getting married or gays and lesbians in general. They're people too, so I think gay marriage should be legal (it's been legal in Canada for quite a while, but I'm referring to most other developed countries).

Wow, is this thread still going on? Well I probably posting in here at some point but I mean really, let's look at it like this for a minute. If you were a man and wanted to marry the woman you love, is there any real reason not to in a normal situation? How about a woman marrying a man because she truly loves him as a person and not just an object of the human race and opposite sex? I would intuitively guess that you answer would be along the lines "No, there is nothing wrong with that, it's perfectly normal anyway you slice it." By should it be any different for a man in love with another man or a woman in love with a woman?



Another point I would like to bring up is this, how would you feel if you were so in love with someone that you didn't care what their gender is, just the amazing person you are in love with but nearly everyone else says you are not allowed to love that person because of what they and you are and not who you both are. It's entirely close minded and biased to think that way if I had to be asked. No one should have the right to dictate who another person so happens to love. I mean how would you like it if you weren't allowed to marry the person you love if the majority of people saw it as taboo?

I know no one has posted here in a while but I wanted to get my opinion out there while also saying why the opposite opinion to mine is ok to have first of all I am personally in favor of same-sex marriage (I am Christian too ) because I see it? as they are people too and they deserve the same rights as straight people although people who are opposed to it due to religious reasons are entitled to an opinion (just as I am even if people have other opinions to you) and a right to practice and interpret religion as they want (within reason ,like murdering someone because they took your bread no matter if a holy book says you can). I hope people see this and I also see it as being right because I have a gay family member and he is one of the nicest people you could ever hope to meet

If gay people gain rights to marry eachother then more people would like to be homosexual. They would get rights to adopt kids who would be raised homosexual. But if they do not want to be gay? If two men like eachother then why would you destroy a kid's entire life? They would be bullied and made fun of more than fat kids. I think it should be illegal for them to adopt children but they can marry eachother. Anyway I'm not American and we got bigger problems over here.

And no, I am not American either. And even if somebody would be stupid enough to try, I doubt you can raise anybody to be a homosexual anymore you can raise anybody to be bisexual, heterosexual or transsexual or whatever. You are just what you are.

I don't support gay marriages, but I don't have the right to control their lives.
