I mean he is supposed to be a good parent but shooting his daughters laptop? Not cool.

We actually have another thread about this subject but oh well. Honestly he's the one that purchased the laptop for her, and she's been acting very spoiled and he wanted to set her straight. Nothing wrong with that in my book.

Anyways lots of people have guns for hunting and whatnot. Especially if he lives in a more rural area. Honestly nothing people do surprises me anymore lol.

Well I don't see why he shot it at all just keep it for yourself, laptops are a lot of money but he must have a lot of money with how much he pays for bullets. xD

Yeah, LOL. A waste of money, sure... but I think he wanted the lesson to sink in.

I am pretty sure that if you were caught saying bad things about your family on facebook (which isn't really good to begin with), it's definitely NOT a good idea to try it again.

I like how he is whining about how the bullets cost $1 each yet he is shooting a laptop which is probably worth a few hundred to over a thousand dollars. He bought the bullets and laptop so its his fault they are both gone or destroyed.

I actually laughed really hard at this video. Ray William Johnson did a fabulous take on it as well.

It's really funny because he's so serious yet impossibly stupid.

I cannot understand what you all are thinking. This man made this video as it felt like the only way he was going to properly get the message through to his daughter --which he made multiple attempts with in other ways. He never intended for the video to go viral, but it did as it brought out the controversy of different styles of disciplining children. His daughter continued to whine and complain about the household chores she was required to do. Out of anger she posted a bad Facebook status --we all tend to speak more truthfully online than in real life-- and thought that she could get away with it by removing her parents from her friends list. Her father, being a computer expert, was able to work around this.

This video got the attention of the media, and Dr. Phil was not happy with what this man did. However, if you go to the dad's website (link below), you can see how terribly flawed Dr. Phil's choice of discipline actually is. I back Tommy Jordan all the way with what he did. A laptop is replaceable, but a child's respect for his or her parents is not.

I should've known cat pup would find this video. I would've laughed, but I was kinda confused at the same time. Parents can be so unpredictable, you know? I will remember this video.

To be honest this reminded me of my dad when I was a kid. One time my dad brought home special groceries. I complained he didn't get the right drink and I got it... He threw out every drink in the house he could find. He even threw out the ice cube trays. I had to drink warm water for a whole month.. That set me strait I never complained about getting anything. Even if I can't eat or drink it.

This also woke me up because I have been complaining about not having a good enough computer. Since I saw that I have shut my mouth about it. I have thanked my parents for everything they have been doing for me. I realize they are doing everything they can to help me get passed this rough time in my life and I should be darn well thankful.


That girl is a spoiled brat she doesn't have to do anything near what I do and she complains about it. Unfortunately it didn't phase his daughter at all and she just ran away from home with her girlfriend. Some people just won't learn...

Unfortunately this girl Hannah reminds me a LOT of my sister. My mum tries her hardest for us and all my sister does is sulk and talk bad about her to all of her friends over Facebook.

These kinds of children need  something extreme like this to get to them.

I think it was an overreaction from what I could tell from the video, I can't take full judgement because I don't know the full story, but from what I can tell it was just a Facebook post expressing her anger, If anything, he should have just disabled Facebook on the computer and save more money. 

My speakers aren't working but shooting a laptop is just overreacting they did the extreme way of taking away Internet access , plus the daughter only posted anger I'm not sure If she showed it. So this father just needs anger management.  

crazycatpup : I do not know why someone would shoot their laptop, but I do not find this very important to make a tread about.It is sort of spam, I do not want to see this again from you.If I see something like this again, I will report you to the global mods.I'm giving you a fair chance, use it wisely.
