I love the star because of the fun little music that plays in the background and because you get to ram into people when it's playing. 3

My favorite Mario Kart 64 item is the Boo. Not only can I be a jerk by stealing someone else's item, but I'm completely invulnerable while I'm doing it. I'm really upset that no Mario Kart game has had it since the DS, it would have worked great in Mario Kart 7, but instead, they put in a fat bee. >.<

My favorite item is 3 Red Shells. Just the fact that you have 3 lock-on heat seeking shells almost promises that you will get ahead of the other racers. And while you have the shells spinning around you they also act like a shield from other enemy items.

No matter where you are, how fast you are, or how many quick turns you try.

they will always find you.

It is almost impossible to escape them, and when your hit you spiral out of control, (most likely forcing your enemies to get ahead of you)
And after you survive the first shell, another one speeds towards you and most likely hits you making you go in a swirling frenzy yet again.

And after all that you still have another one left! and you can also attack other racers as well.

I can't tell you how many times i won a race thanks to this item.

my favourite item is probably the triple bananas when you are in first and then nobody can hit you. But with the blue shell all you need to do is slam the breaks and wait until you go in second so the other person gets bombed
