Vizzed was down because the OS on the server somehow got corrupt. Here's what Godaddy told me:


"It appears the OS has become corrupt on the server and we were unable to repair it with a File System Check. The old drives are being pulled so we can reprovision the server and restore your content.

The issue is being handled with the highest priority. However, depending on the amount of content that needs to be restored, it may be 24 hours before all sites will be back up and functional"


Anyways, the site is up now and should be running fine. As far as I know, no files were lost.

If you have any questions or problems, please let me know here.

I was playing Pokemon Flora Sky, but when i loaded the game my save file wasn't there and it said the battery had run dry so there will be no clock based events. I don't know if this is a result of Vizzed being down though.

Some of the pokemon games I usually play works. My save file for the games that I played today or in the last couple of minutes work and are there. Pokemon Firered is a bit laggy, but I am unsure if it is my internet connection or if there is too many people here that is making the site lagging a bit. I'm not one to put it against anyone.

Interesting... So Vizzed isn't on a dedicated server? I guess that explains why it can at times be excruciatingly slow... Perhaps this may be a good time to upgrade? Judging by what the front page says you already spend, a dedicated server shouldn't be TOO much more expensive.

Hey, I just joined not too long ago.  I was playing Pokémon red through the Java emulator.  When I try to save or load a game, the controls freeze up and I'm unable to play.  I not sure if this has something to do with the server crash but was wondering if I could get some help/advice.

Recently I have been unable to save my progress on any of the games I play.  The emulator does not recognize when I am logged in, and says that I am not logged in (repetitive sentence ftw).  I realize others have been posting about this issue, but I figure that I could help spread the word to help all of us

Oh I guess I read that wrong, the way the GoDaddy statement was worded made it seem to me that other sites were sharing the same server as Vizzed, and quite a few sites went down at the same time. I guess it was probably an attack on GoDaddy's DNS then that tore things up.

Vizzed.com is very expensive to keep alive! The Ads pay for the servers.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.

We prioritize the community over the site profits.  This is why we avoid using annoying (but high paying) ads like most other sites which include popups, obnoxious sounds and animations, malware, and other forms of intrusiveness.  We'll do our part to never resort to these types of ads, please do your part by helping support this site by adding Vizzed.com to your ad blocking whitelist.
