I don't know if this is possible, but did you check to see if you have settings set to not allow redirects?

Also could you tell us what site you were trying to get at or from what site you were being redirected to?

To be honest I have never encountered this problem with firefox.  Usually they only block pop ups and warn me of redirects.

Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Accessibility

Based off my memory, I've been using Chrome for the longest time. It's something like that though. There is definitely an option to disable it.
