This thread, I want to know if you bought Skyward Sword and if so, do you like the game. I for one don't have it, my area didn't have the game when I asked for it on Xmas, so I won't get it until I see it.

I don't own it..I don't even own a wii,but It does look like a fun game And It's something I'd like to play.

StevenLanders : I didn't even notice that O_o (6 instead of 3) and btw by "bird thing" you meant Loftwing.

I got the black New SMB bundle (no GameCube slot darn) but I bought Skyward Sword immediately after. It was awesome for me! So many sidequests and tons to do. You can upgrade virtually everything and there's a storage area so you can have multiples of a bunch of stuff. Definitely a must-have if you love Zelda games. Worth the money in my eyes.

It is an amazing game. You all should have it. Everything about it is near flawless.

I don't own the game but I played it at my friends house for a little while.

It was a pretty good game from what I played.

But I can't give a proper opinion on it until I actually play the game properly.

I do own the game, and I really love it. The motion control is very precise, and much less complicated than I imagined it would be. Once you adjust to it, it can be very fun.
The storyline is fantastic, even among Zelda games, and a fan is sure to enjoy the "prequelness".
Personally, I was grinning uncontrollably at times just because of how they tied some things together.
However, the most amazing thing about this game is the artwork. It really is stunning. Being very light and brightly colored, it is a stark contrast against the darker Twilight Princess. And everything is beautiful (especially Zelda). The whole game is done in a style that is reminiscent of impressionist painting, especially when you look at the background. The farther away things get, the more they begin to look like a Monet painting.

I don't own the game, in fact, I don't own a Wii. It does look fun. I tried playing it at Best Buy when my parents and I were there, but the Wii remote was dead on batteries. I got pissed and I had to go home. It sucks that I can't play it. I probably might play it when it works. I'll try when I go to Best Buy.

It's a very good game to play and by far one of the best Zelda games I have the pleasure of playing. The only drawback is that a lot of the bosses aren't all that hard to beat. It had a good story, amazing gameplay, and the items are fun to use and upgrade. I highly recommend you buy and play it.

pacman1755 : Plainly put, I don't like the game that much, Why? the following reasons 
 
 The slow pace the game has to offer. 
 
 Fi (your partner)  is constant talking.
 
 The 'you got an item even though you got it 1,000,000 times before' cutscene that ensues after you grab literally anything.
 
 Did I mention Fi's talking? 
 
 the whole "get 5 cookies to get into the world then you can get 7 cookies so you cant take them back to this place so you can get 15 cookies that make this one cookie so you can enter the dungeon." and I'm not exagerating!  (this can be done well if it's done right but nintendo did not!)
 
 Just by playing the Japanese version you can skip 1 1/2 HOURS (no joke) of text because of the fact that there are less characters in the Japanese language!!! (mostly consisting of Fi's text) 
 
 The "cute" talking animals in the game.  
 
 And most of all Fi's talking! She makes Navi look like and angel and Tael look like a GOD!
 
 Sadly it's the worst 3D game in the Zelda series. (Pity it had the BEST final boss in Zelda history.) 
 
 Meh, I don't need to gripe, but I still couldn't stand the game to finish hero mode. ):

bombchu link : Fi wasn't that bad. At least you could choose to press a button to listen to her or not. I did like the fact that Fi would let me know when the battery power on the Wiimote was running low.

I will agree though that I didn't like the fact that every time I picked up an item it would make me go through that cutscene. I already picked it up......at least it only made me go through it when the game was first turned on. After that, it didn't do anything.

I have it, and I absolutely love it. I think the best part is that it is hard. I haven't played any other Zelda games before I got it, besides the first one,  so I can't yet compare it to Oot, but it is definitely fun, and worth the money, even though Fi is annoying.
