Yeah of course I remember it! I didn't know what Pokemon was at the time but I thought they all looked super cool, and I wanted to get a Game Boy just for that. Especially once I saw the box art for them and saw that awesome looking Charizard on the front of Pokemon Red. I had a friend who had actually seen the show and introduced me to it, and I've never looked back.

Prior to watching the show, I used to think that Pokemon had their own language--like an actual language that they all share instead of just saying their names--and that "Pikachu" was Pokemon-ese for "thank you", because the little yellow one says that when he gets on the bus.

Hey look, I just found it on the YouTube. I forgot that the bus drive crushes them all. That's terrible! XD

I have no idea how, but I found a way to miss this commercial. I don't really remember much before Pokemon, though, so that could be part of the reason. I was only 4 when it came out, after all. Definitely brings back memories just seeing a Gameboy...

Well that's just brilliant!Those Pokemons won't be able to be your slave.I'm sure you poor kids would love to open up a cruel tournament by having pokemon serve in battle in the real world . What if the other pokemon are friend and they have to battle each other out under  the holder,eh ?I'm Glad they're not use as pet nor slave they're better off inside a little device.

Yes, I watched that commercial all the time! Actually, I had a lot of the Pokemon episodes on VHS (actually, I still have them around here somewhere) and a lot of them had that exact commercial at the end of them advertising the Pokemon games.

At first, I thought the commercial I had in mind was the first one I saw. The one I had in mind was one where a kid is playing on a Game Boy in his room, and he says "Aww, darn. Almost caught him!". And then the voice was saying something like if you are having trouble catching em' all, connect with a friend to trade Pokemon. Then a wire attached to the boy's Game Boy, and whet out the window and connected to the Game Boy of a boy in the apartment across the alley, and different Pokemon were dancing across the line as they were being traded. 

I forgot about the commercial Lazlo Falconi brought up where Pikachu got on the bus. I remember seeing this commercial and the one I talked about and was super confused as to what Pokemon games were supposed to be all about.
