Otherwise, I agree. Team mario would win. Sonic may be fast, taile may be able to fly, knuckles might be strong, but team mario has bowser for power, tanooki suit for flying, and they're fast enough. If the bros. could team up, sonic wouldn't stand a chance. Team sonic just doesn't cut it. Team sonic needs the chaos emeralds to achive power. Mario and company can just bash blocks. On top of that... giant mushroom. Enough said.

Mario is far better. I've grown up playing his games, and I know that he'd win in any fighting situation, just because all Sonic does is run, he can't fight, just hop on his enemies.

Mario is nice and all, but I prefer fast action paced platformers where skill is only proportinal to your ability to see things as they come up. Lot of twitch reflexes.

Team Sonic. Mario doesn't have time to get to a ? block because Sonic is too fast. Knucles would bash Luigi because he has... knucles. Bowser is just too stupid (see Mario & Luigi SuperStar Saga), Peach too helpless (exept in Super Smash Bros). Toad is still new to this platforming thing, Yoshi might stand a chance, but he can't swallow Big the cat, because he's too big (swallowing Bowser in Super Smash Bros is against nature).
Oh! and Sonic and Shadow have a spiky head, so the Bros can't jump on them (though they have hammers, those are to slow).

Well Sonic does have some pretty cool powerups...but ultimatley I think Team Mario would win because they just have a little more experience than the Sonic team. They would know how to team up and expose ST's weaknesses.

I've been thinking about this subject a little more, and I really think that Team Sonic would win. As powerful and as skilled as team Mario is, Team sonic is just too fast and the power ups too powerful for them. Team Mario gets overwhelmed and loses by a hair
