 Don't now if this is just me but I like how the old games run more then the new one. I only like the new one for there story, and online play now. Nothing to keep me going all day on one game now. I miss the old school ways of gaming.

I prefer newer games in all honesty, just because I'm able to play them. I like being able to move around in 3D. Side Scrolling is nice, but I like being able to immerse myself in a big vibrant world.

Old games are good, sometimes fun...and classics. Compared to the newer consoles, the retro consoles are incomparable in MANY ways.

Like others have said, it just depends on the person. Nowadays, it seems like developers are focusing on graphics and unique types of gameplay, rather than story and time-and-tried methods.

Believe me, there are some good RPG's and action games out there that are being made. They just can't make them like they used to or people will complain that they've seen them before.

I actually don't have a preference. I love both the old and the new. I love the old because it is what I grew up with, they tend to be a LOT more challenging than new games, and they were unique. New tends to have better story development, which I love, and just have more to do in them. It is a trade off between the two, but I choose not to love one over the other.

I miss the Music from the games and when the story was long. Not only that but the way people play them. It was for fun Not to be the best and on top of the leaderbord. Now it all about cheating and becoming MLG not fun. Or I'm just cruse to play with those people when online. LOL!!!!! O well there not going to ruin my FUN!!!

I grew up during the time in which the Atari 2600 and Commodore 64 were the state if the art home systems which was also when people went to the video game arcade and spent hours on end playing Pac-Man, Galaga, Missile Command, and Centipede.

I enjoy older games because of their general simplicity. They don't need a complicated, multi-layered story to drive the game. You don't even need an ending. You play for a while and the same level types get more difficult. Play longer, more difficult until you eventually ran out of lives. Then you start over again. No pause screens; no saving. You played until you lost or you were completely warn out.

I actually have been soaked into newer games, even though I like older games, they weren't an inherent part of my life when I was raised. I find the newer ones to be much more captivating, and the old ones, boring... but that is my opinion, and I never hate on the old games

Well if you go to 1st person shooters then need something new for them. Because Call of Duty is just redoing the last one over and over with the same thing happening in them. All the heroes keep dieing!!! We need a new war game for 1st person game and no I'm not hating battlefield. I just don't care for it. I what t fight hell again like in DOOM. <3

It kinda depends on the type of game. Although it never hurts to replay the classics, I like to play new games from time to time. However, if the opportunity arises and there're no new games (or they've got terrible reviews) I may just entertain myself with the classical ones.
