Well next Monday my English teacher expects us to have memorized all 35 lines of Marc Antony's speech in William Shakespeare's play "Julia Caesar".
I'm sure I can memorize it by then, but I think that a lot of people wont be able to...

I also had to memorize the Preambled of the Declaration of Independence, now that was actually easy.

Ever had to memorize something like that?

In 5th grade we split into groups and memorized our parts to act out a portion of Macbeth. In 8th grade we could memorize the ENTIRE POEM of Paul Revere's Ride for extra credit. Only my friend Jason and I were able to recite the entire thing perfectly. In high school we had to memorize random things all the time for our english teacher in 10th grade, and a monologue in 9th. Those were the only grades. Again for extra credit junior year I was one of the only ones who opted to memorize as much of the Declaration as possible. I don't remember how far I got, it was decent, though. So to answer the question, yeah I've had my fair share of memorizing things for school. lol

Since I went to a christian elementary I have had to memorize a lot of Bible verses. I still know a lot of them which surprises me. I give speeches all the time in school so I memorize those as well. I can memorize stuff easy though.

I'm sure many of you had to do this too, but in the 3rd grade, I had to memorize every single president's name in order. I found it incredibly difficult, honestly. But my classmates, some of them, found it really easy. I don't know how. I guess I just have a bad memory. Lol. Oh well.

It's always easier to remember something if there's a rhyme or pattern involved. That being said, I'm horrible at memorization. I hear songs one hundred times and I still have difficulty remembering some of the lines. However, I think if I really wanted to, I could memorize them by heart.

Funny story about that. My music professor told us that our final was cumulative, but would only be 50 multiple choice questions. She also decided to give us a list of the questions. The questions came from our quizzes from throughout the semester, so it was easy enough to find the answers. All I had to do was memorize the 50 answers.

I did just that and managed to finish my final in about 2 minutes. That's a record for me.

Well... nope. Not that much but I have had to memorize a LOT of vocab for German, French and English (which is not my native language). Like, lists of 50 words per chapter or so. Also, I have had to memorize even more sentences in German than words, like, 60 sentences per chapter.
