Computers are way too expensive for the hardware.  And now you actually have to send it in to replace the HDD?  Why would I send it in for something that ANYONE could do in 5 or 10 minutes tops? And it's even easier now with SATA drives. (assuming of course that they are that simple on Mac) I mean their desktops with a quad core last I checked started at $2500. You could build a top of line PC and probably still have enough left over for a 3 monitor setup. Or at the least be close.


Same thing I have against iPods. They make you send it in just to change the battery.  I mean most every other cell phone or mp3 player you can do it yourself, but not iPods.

Apple products may have some nice features but to me they aren't worth the general lack of compatibility (that is improving, but still limited), the absurdly high prices, etc.

As for iPod touch, after playing with both IOS and Android, I prefer Android. Android 4.0 is looking awesome. I'll admit the latest IOS update looks pretty cool with the ask a question part, but beyond that I haven't heard about any other changes.

I personally don't like Apple products and the company as a whole. Which is why I'm going to take the outside route and say

Apple II.

I think that the Apple II was a really large step in computer technology. Plus it was actually durable and didn't shatter like glass upon dropping, unlike pretty much every other Apple product today.
