I usually watch anime before I go to bed for the night. I try to limit a series to one episode a night, but a lot of times it's more than that. So I'll run through it faster than I should. I've already finished watching Spice and Wolf a week ago, which is a very good one (you all reading this should take it from me and check it out). So now I'm looking for another good show. I'm looking for ideas on ones you have watched and liked. I'm not so much into drama, but I guess there are some decent shows out there focusing on that. Oh, I've also watched Elfen Lied (and damn if the creators weren't trying to get people to cry watching that one).

If you could give me a brief plot that would be helpful too. I've watched a lot of anime in my time, so any popular one 6 years and older I may have already seen. May have. Any suggestions are welcome.

This world consists of two dimensions joined as one, like a mirror. The first is the world in which the humans live, Assiah. The other is the world of demons, Gehenna. Are  you looking for completed shows or on-going? I would recommend the second Fate/Night Stay series. If you have the first one I recommend this one. They are on Episode 7 now.

Also Shakugan No Shana finally came out with its 3rd and final season. If you haven't seen the first two I recommend those as well.

In response to not all being worth watching I have to say that it may not be true. Just because the pure amount of Anime there is and a whole bunch of them are good.

Anyway try Bakuman if you have not already. I do not mean bakuGan as they are not the same. Bakuman is about two kids that try to become manga writers. Really a good show, same guys as death note.

I've seen Excel Saga. Not sure if I'll watch that wacky thing again, heh. People do have different tastes in anime, but just like the movies, there are those that everybody likes. Bakuman sounds interesting. Since the Death Note crew were involved with it. I suppose I could look for Teknoman, or "Tekkaman Blade" as it's called in Japan. I used to watch that show when I was a teenager on Sunday mornings. Pretty cool one.

Pani poni dash. - Weird show about an underage female teacher being monitored by aliens, a long with a class of very weird students.

These are my favorites but you might take interest to them.

Angel beats is a fantastic high school shoen-ish anime.

I honestly can't fault this anime, it just comes back even bigger and bolder with every episode, and with a great soundtrack to boot.

If I were you I'd try Code Geass it's a really good series and it is the series that got me hooked on anime. The story goes a little something like this the Empire of Britannia has invaded Japan using giant robot weapons called Knightmare Frames. Japan is now referred to as Area 11, and its people the 11's. A Britannian who was living in Japan at the time, Lelouch, vowed to his Japanese friend Suzaku that he'd destroy Britannia. Years later, Lelouch is in high school, but regularly skips out of school to go play chess and gamble on himself. One day, he stumbles on terrorists 11's who've stolen a military secret and is caught by a member of the Britannian task force sent after them, who is Suzaku. As the rest of the squad arrives, Suzaku is shot for disobeying orders, while the military secret, a young girl, gives Lelouch the power of Geass, which makes anyone obey any order. While Suzaku is secretly made the pilot of Britannia's brand new prototype Knightmare, Lancelot, Lelouch becomes the masked Zero to lead the rebellion to destroy Britannia once and for all. Also the mechs in this series are the most awesome mechs I've ever seen its one of those one of a kind series that you will never find another one like in your life time. Kind of like high school of the dead which is an awesome series unless you hate fan service but just in case. The plot line is as follows: Takashi Komuro is a normal high school boy, until an infection breaks out that turns people into zombie-like creatures. Along with his friends & the school nurse, they fight their way out and continue their journey to find out what exactly has happened to the world. Basically in more words than less good looking chicks and 2 dudes kill zombies with lots of blood and gore everywhere just check it out and if you hate fan service defiantly skip episode 6 its awesome.

Yep, I've seen Code Geass and love it. Haven't seen high school of the dead, though I think I've heard of it. It is something I'll have to look into.

I would recommend One Piece or Toriko for ongoing fighting animes. One Piece is pretty much pirates with superpowers and slapstick. Toriko is pretty much cooks with superpowers. It's good honestly.
For completed fighting Yu-Yu-Hakasho is good and has a good storyline.
For more comedic animes I'd recommend Tora-Dora, Azumanga Daioh, Lucky Star (skip the first episode it's really slow), and Fairy Tail. Although Fairy tail is a fighting anime it is hilarious.

Update: Oh and Gurenn Lagann if you haven't seen it yet. It is amazing and so ridiculous. It's...I don't even...I can't explain it well enough.

If you're very open-minded, I'd suggest Prunus Girl, No Bra, Sundome, and Unbalance x Unbalance. The first two are gender benders, Sundome is a dirty epic and probably part of my Top 4 favourites, and I'm currently reading Unbalance x Unbalance which is a Korean manga about the relationship between a teacher and her student.

My favourite manga is probably Battle Angel Alita as well as Battle Angel Alita: Last Order, which is action/sci-fi.
