I just found this out and some of you may have noticed it or not, but I seem to find out that Nintendo changed the way the original Wii console looks.  Here is the console:

The console is sideways now and it looks pretty good.  I still wish I had mine in black.  I hate the white color.  For some reason, I seem to like getting consoles that are the opposite of the original color.  For example, my PS2 is silver instead of black. I have a GBA that is black instead of blue.  You get the point, anyways, I just seem to enjoy the way it looks now.  What do you think about it?

Note:  From what I think about this, they made it look like the Wii U console.  Don't you think?

I don't think it matters at this point. It may be the holiday season, but the Wii U is projected to be released sometime next year after April. With the Wii U being compatible with the games of its predecessor, the Wii, buying this black Wii would be a waste of money --unless you want something that is compatible with GameCube games.

I think it costs a lot for a console to be able to play or read a previous generation of games. Nintendo is not in a good shape right now, so I wasn't really expecting to play Game Cube games on the Wii U.

I think Nintendo figures that all of the Nintendo fans have gotten the Wii already. What they're doing now is expanding their audience with the new Wii. It looks more family friendly because it looks more like a DVD player now and doesn't come with the grey stand anyways.

My girlfriend bought me a wii for christmas so I could play Skyward Sword, and she got me the black one. I always prefer the darker consoles because they don't show dirt as much, although with the black Wii, you have to worry about fingerprints... Arrrrg!
