Wow, last day of the VCS already. I didn't feel like I did much this month, but it can be excused because I was pretty busy half the time. xP

Anyways, congrats to leggy for winning and the remainder of the top 4. 5th is still up for grabs, but unlikely unless David doesn't post at all.

Oh sweet. The last day and I'm guaranteed top ten, that's pretty cool. I can take 7th or 6th any day.

To be fair, generally top 10 is equal to 50 monthly points. You can get 50 points in as little as 5 days.

Wow 9th. That is pretty good for me because I really did not post much at all this month. I will either post a lot more or a lot less next month. Depends on what kind of homework I get.

Yeah, but Jake, it's less that I placed top 10 with only 1 week of posting, and more that I placed top 10 when I basically stopped posting after that first week. There were at least 20 days for anyone else to go for it. A little disappointing, nyeh?

I've found that it's entirely reasonable to get the same results every time with the same points. It seems foreign because you made all your points in the first week. If you spread out your points, scoring say 10 a week, you wouldn't see it as disappointing

I guess my point is, it wasn't a surprise you are still in the top 10, especially given you scored about 74 points. Regardless of time, most users don't make 74 points in a month for whatever reason

In August - 74 points would get you 8th
In september - 74 points would get you 9th
In October - 74 points would get you 9th

So yeah, 8th/9th is pretty much as high as one can get with 74 points, hence why I'm not surprised.

That's... Huh. Well, if you go with that, you can get whatever place you want, simply by going with the point range. Which makes most of the spots pretty easy. Which makes me not feel any good about my 8th place. I guess the only huge discrepancies are with the top 3/4, where you get people who are 30-40+ points between each other. Maybe next month, I'll actually not burn out almost immediately. And I'll get top 50, finally. 297 posts to go, then.

You guys realize I avoided a 5-way tie for 3rd yesterday by a single post? Now that is more of a surprise than other days, and I only made 15 posts. Were others less inclined to post because the top positions were already secured?

Here's something interesting, if AuraBlaze made 1 less post and Someone70 would've made 1 more post, Someone70 and I would have both placed 5th as our final ranks.

A good example of how just a few posts can alter the outcome of the entire results.

Congrats on all who ranked this month, I can take 7th anyday, that's a good rank, congrats again leggy.

pacman1755 : It's impressive just to make the top 10 because look at all the people who didn't get the top 10 but still got at least 1 point, there's a lot, even high posting active users.

Hmm did ok for not trying much at all this month. I think that I may have another month of passive posting to see if I can not get 9th or so again. I really do not care.
