Where did you learn your code? (HTML, CSS, Java etc)

ghostfishy : My favorite thing about Vizzed is probably the community. 2nd of course would probably be the RGR and the nostalgia that it gives me.


endings : I’ve got multiple titles already: Owner, Founder, Creator, Admin, etc. I’m not sure what else I’d call my position, maybe President?

1. If you’re asking what my favorite games are in my collection then I’d probably say Final Fantasy VII, Shenmue, Super Mario Bros, Halo 3 and I suppose maybe Pokemon Blue (even though my copy doesn’t work).

2. I’m not sure what my hardest game was to acquire since with ebay almost anything can be easily obtained. I did own a copy of Flintstones Surprise at Dinosaur Peak up until last year and that was hard to acquire at a decent price since it’s rare and isn’t always available on ebay. I suppose Shenmue II for the Dreamcast was possibly my hardest to obtain because it’s a European import and at the time I got it, I didn’t have an ebay account and I actually bought it from a friend after some negotiation.

My toughest gaming item to obtain was probably the 3DO Blaster. Not only does that rarely appear on ebay but it was even tougher to get at a good price.

3. The top game on my to get list is Shenmue. Even though my favorite game is Final Fantasy VII, I’d probably recommend Shenmue more because it deserves more recognition and it aged way better than FFVII. If someone were to play FFVII now that didn’t grow up playing it or didn’t grow up with Playstation games, they might get turned off by the graphics and modern day kids may get turned off by the lack of voice acting. Shenmue not only has voice acting (not always the best acting though) but is also (I think) appealing to gamers even today.


ThatBigGamer : I’m not sure if it’ll ever be compatible with tablets. I’ve invested around $20,000 into the RGR Plugin over the past few years and I’d imagine it’d cost at least twice that much to have it recreated for tablets which is way out of my budget.


thing1 : That’s my first time hearing that word. I suppose my ideal stay-cation would be bike riding all day ever day.


darthyoda : I have steam but I rarely use it. I’ve got a few games but the only game I’ve put more than an hour into is Sonic All-Stars Racing Transformed.

There are a lot of games I hate but to avoid offending anyone, I’ll keep it to myself.

Every December has a Christmas layout and it’s the same one each time.

thing1 : My favorite Halo is definitely the Master Chief Collection since it contains most Halo games and is the definitive experience lol. If I had to pick a specific game though, I’d pick Halo 3 because it had one of the best campaigns, some of my favorite levels and it introduced the series to the awesome Forge and Theater mode. Plus, I probably have the most hours into Halo 3 compared to the rest and I’m only 1 achievement away from having them all.

If I were to pick a 2nd favorite, even though you didn’t ask, I’d say it’s a toss-up between Halo 3: ODST and Halo Reach. Halo Reach because of the matchmaking (I didn’t care for the campaign much), it probably has my 2nd favorite matchmaking since I love the levels and love the abilities (armor lock rocks). Halo 3: ODST because of Firefight (which is my wife’s favorite mode of all halo games) and because the campaign is probably my 2nd favorite campaign.


123skeedoo : Definitely the Drama is the biggest pain in the butt I have to deal with regarding this site. I’ve been fortunate that there hasn’t been too much drama in the past year compared to previous years though.

The 2nd biggest pain is dealing with people attacking the site either through DDoS attacks or hacking in general. Thankfully I haven’t had to deal with that much in the past few years.


thephantombrain : I might be able to get Tom760 to make some changes but it comes with a real high price, possibly $100s. I do not have the ability to make those modifications myself. Send me a PM with full details on how Mednafen can be modified to run better for users and I’ll see what I can do.

Kruzer : PSX Netplay is a possibility with MESS but I don’t know how many Playstation games work with MESS. Currently the RGR Plugin emulates PSX games with Mednafen and that doesn’t currently support PSX Netplay.

Barathemos : I always planned on keeping Vizzed Board around forever so I knew it’d become 10 years old eventually. Heck, I know it’ll most likely become 50 years old eventually. I take that back, there was a time when I thought I might discontinue Vizzed Board, actually 2 times.

The first time was I think either the 2nd or 3rd summer after this current Vizzed Board launched. The traffic was so bad that we’d literally go multiple days without a single post. I thought for sure Vizzed Board was done and even had users tell me that it’s over.

The second time was nearly 3 years ago when Vizzed had 1 ½ months worth of horrible DDoS attacks. I didn’t think I’d ever get the site back up in a stable form and probably came real close to giving up.


thing1 : Maybe your stream partnership level isn’t high enough to earn CP or Vizzed.

Robertarneil : The Nintendo DS is still too new so that probably will not be added to the site for at least another 4 years.

If I hand out the source code than someone could modify it so that it’d work on another site and basically then someone would use what I created to compete against my site.

greenluigi : My sister has an account on Vizzed Board but she hasn’t used it since she signed up. My Dad has an account but only for the Game Collection feature. My wife also has an account but she doesn’t post, nor does she use her account very often.


Barathemos : I’ve been teaching myself web design for many years now. I did go to the Art Institute but nearly half of the stuff I was taught there I already knew. For me personally, the best way to learn is to teach yourself by getting hands on experience.

weeniedog12 : I've always been interested in Mother/Earthbound but I've never actually played a game in that series.

zanderlex : My goal is to get an Overall Jersey win in each category. I have Red so now I just need Blue, Green and Yellow. I actually planned on taking Green this month but I really felt like Ferdinand would've deserved it more so I decided to let him claim what he's worked so hard to earn.

I might go for another TdV win someday but who knows. If there is ever a dead TdV then I'd probably try and win it but as long as there's at least 2 users actively competing to win, I'll most likely not try for first place.

Davideo7 : You do know that for at least the next couple of years, Blue will be very hard to take away from me, right?

zanderlex : Yeap I'm fully aware of that. I'll have to choose a month where I don't plan to get much accomplished on the site lol.

Davideo7 : That will be tough, I plan on making at least 1000 posts every tdv until the end of 2016, so points will be easy to get. What was your favorite month last year vizzed wise? Like what month do you think you got the most and best work done?

Davideo7 : Yeah. Since it's pretty much over, I was asking how you felt about the competition this month. I never really cared much, I mainly kept track of who was in first, other than that, I didn't care.
