For those who don't know, we will talk "out of character" (as in, talk about things not related to the game itself) by putting the prefix "OOC:". This is usually used if you want to ask me a question regarding the game.

Area: Grand Bastiel Cruise

They had all been unaware of what the next few days would have in store for them.

They were all very privileged men and women of an upper class; many of which had relatives or parents involved in large corporations. There were a few that stood out, however. Mr. Kostik, known to his friends as legacyme3, was a very influential investor. About 5 years ago, he was living on welfare and his house consisted of a one-room apartment. He struggled to the top... he's a true "All-American Story".

Mr. Campbell, also known as Zamiel, had gained his wealth in a much more interesting way. He had literately won the lottery, for a total sum of 9 million dollars. He hasn't worked a day in his life.

Everyone was gathered in the dining room. Earlier, on the PA system, they were summoned so they can enjoy a "special" feast. 13 in all, they shuffled in one by one, and found a seat. Morsalbus, a very curious young man, noticed how there were 13 chandeliers hanging from the ceiling, each with an index card, labeled with the passenger's names, dangling on a string. He felt a little weary.

Apparently his feeling was shared throughout the entire group, because everyone looked uneasy.

After a few minutes of waiting, a man with a smoothed comb-over walked in, wearing a fine suit and holstering an awkward amount of confidence.

"Hello. Are you ready for some fuuuuun?" The way the man held the 'u' in fun made everyone scoot back in their chairs.

"Someone here is not who you think he is. He has the wild intent to kill you all... in very violent ways." The man grinned, showing off his ghastly yellow teeth.

"Let's play a little game. You fine people will have the choice to ask the murderer ONE question each night, from predetermined questions that I deem acceptable. From that, you ladies and gentlemen will be able to guess who the murderer is. Get it right, and the murderer will die and I will let everyone off. Get it wrong... and the murderer kills the wrongly guessed person. Every time someone dies, their respective chandelier will crash to the ground. The game will continue until you fine people win..."

"If you can win."

"Oh, and pardon my manners. You ladies and gentlemen may call me Alfons," again, the creepy grin, "Please enjoy yourself on your stay on the Grand Bastiel Cruise!"

Alfons quickly turned around and left the dining room.

the_casualty : OOC: I've never played this, so I need some help on how the game is played.

Damn, I didn't even really want to go on this cruise. I was just bored.

OOC: Sun, refer to the sign up thread and the previous Murder Mysteries to find out how it works. Basically, right now you need to act like you're one of the people in the dining room. Converse with the others, and try to find loopholes in what people say. Eventually Alfons will come back, and he'll give everyone a list of questions to ask the Murderer. You guys will vote on which question you want to ask, and then the Murderer will PM me their response.

*sigh* I just want to take a simple cruise vacation and I get caught up in something like this... I hope this is all just a joke or something.

Hey all, I'm Morsalbus, but you can call me Mors. I would say something for small talk like "Great weather, right?" or "I'm so happy to be here!" but I am a little concerned that some insane creeper just told us we are going to be systematically murdered. Excuse me if I skip the pleasantries and ask some more important questions here. Who are you guys, and who would have the wealth and the motive to gather us all here and play with our lives on a whim?

Hey all. I'm Snowdeath, but you can call me Snow. I would introduce myself further, but I find the creep... creepy. What's going on, exactly? Why is this murderer after us?

Oh, I was worrying so much, I had forgotten to introduce myself. I'm Nitori, or Someone, you can really call me either and I'll respond.

*looks at the chandeliers above* It looks like this whole game has to do with those...

"We're going to be dying? Fun. I knew winning the free tickets was too good to be true. Oh, I'm silverthundr, just call me Silver."

*silverthundr glances at the chandelier*

"Hmm. Fancy. Not the way I'd go, but it could be worse. So we have to stay sitting? I'm kind of hungry."

Well hello there, I am pacman, you can all call me pac. This is the first time this has happened to me. Why does this happen to us? What did we do to him/her?

silverthundr, grabbing at his stomach, was getting very impatient and was wondering when the actual meal would be served. This, because nobody on the ship had been fed a single morsel of food yet.

As if silver's complaining had ushered in the butlers, well-dressed men holding huge plates full of food started flooding through the large, victorian-style double doors. Everyone was soon served, except for one person. rioario, instead of getting a plate full of delicious food, instead got a plate with a singular chicken bone.

rioario, realizing something was wrong, quickly jumped out of his seat and bolted towards the door.

Then, the lights went out. A scream, then the sound of a chandelier crashing to the ground.

When the lights went back on, the food on the table had disappeared. Laying on the floor was the dismembered body of rioario. Quite obviously, he was dead.

Someone70 cautiously walked towards the broken chandelier, now on the ground. She picked up the index card attached to the chandelier, which had almost illegible writing. She read it aloud to everyone.

"wHeN fOoLiSh AcTiOnS cOmE, a SoUl LeAvEs. ThIs Is NoT a "JoKe". StArT tAkInG iT sErIoUsLy BeFoRe I kIlL yOu AlL!"

Someone70 dropped the card to the ground and curled up in a ball. She started to cry.

The others followed.

So the guy who died... was who again?

I've honestly never heard of him before today.

When do we get to ask some questions...?

And rich people don't cry.

"Who was that, even? Did he even say anything?"

*silverthundr looks where his plate was*

"Ugh. Come on. I'm hungry."

*silverthundr shoots an angry glance at the corpse, then leans back and rests*

Pity about rioario though, truly. Anyways, that old creeper said something about questions? Now that we know this is serious, I really want to find out who the culprit here is so I can not die and get on with my vacation.

Sad people cry. That make me sad =/ Hopefully we can find that person who made that note...before something bad happens.
