Agreed. I loved the original but since then I have not wanted to watch any of the other ones. I have heard them just get killed by reviewers so I would assume that they are really not that great. They can stop but they won't just because it makes them money.

Every time I see a commercial for a buddies movie, I feel a deep hatred towards them for ruining the Air Bud series. The first movie was amazing. Most of it was actually plausible. The second was acceptable. It had some good family moments with everything with his future step dad. The third was borderline since so much of it could never happen (blow a dog whistle to call an army of 30 dogs to watch the bad guys for a while).

After that, everything was terrible. Just terrible.

I liked the first couple of Buddies movies... now, I think they've just massively overkilled the series. I can't keep up with watching them and most of them are getting stupider and stupider. Air Bud will always be the best of them.

I got the second Buddies movie, on DVD because I thought they were cute, and my sister begged my parents for it, but now I think it has gone a bit too far.  I don't even know if all of Disney's audience even know what Airbud even is.  I liked those movies.  I even think I cried watching one of those movies once.  Maybe when the boy tells the dog to leave...  I don't remember.
