Basically, I met a girl on this IM thing (KIK messenger, if anyone has that on their iPod.) We're in love (well, at least she is) and we're trying to meet somehow. Only problem, she lives in England. Also, my mom took away my iPod so now I have no way to contact her. If anyone has help with either of these problems (me having no iPod or us meeting) then please speak.

By the way, I have a link to her facebook page. If anyone can contact her for me (don't have a facebook) I can send it.

Wouldn't it be easier to just make a Facebook profile?

Yeah I'd say the easiest thing would be to get a facebook profile of your own. Also if you do that you can email her since on Facebook it shows email.

The messenger doesn't work on your computer? And why did you get the iPod taken away? Was it because of this relationship or some other reason?

But yeah... emailing her might be a better option if you can get it from her Facebook page. Let us know if that works.

As for the whole thing... long distance relationships are hard even when the distance is small. There is an ocean between you. I'm not saying it won't work... but just know that you are both going to really have to put a lot of effort into it. The fact that without your messenger on the iPod you are unable to get into contact with her suggests that you two haven't really done that yet.

Skype is free. That is all that I am saying.

My mom's crazy. She won't let me get a facebook or an email. The reason is because a while back i was bored so I texted random #s to see who would answer. It didn't turn out very well so now my mom won't let me get either because she thinks i will "randomly email people". And don't say "Oh, do it behind her back" that's a bad idea. She has no clue what "privacy" means, and will snoop through anything.

The reason I got it taken away was because of what I wrote as my status. Also, she friended my mom so I could see her profile pictures (I know my mom's facebook password) and my mom found her, and asked me if I knew her. I didn't want to break the news about her yet, so I decided just to deny it. Big mistake. She started snooping through my iPod, and found my conversations with her.

Skype might work. Only prob, don't know her skype.

First please to God tell me you are not dating on looks. That is just an issue to be doing at any age though people our age fall into it all the time.

pieman9 : I’ve tried long distance relationships before it’s not an easy thing especially if you’ve been close with someone and then for one reason or another you aren’t in the same place with someone as you once were and distance is involved. At you’re age however relationships especially long distance relationships should be the furthest thing from your mind.

I speak from experience here… When I was your age things were not stable for me in regard to my family and in a relatively short period I went from living with my family under one roof to going on vacation in the summer and then staying where I was for over a year. What resulted was several years of being caught in the middle of a rift between my parents and thus I ended up making several bad decisions that I wish I could have a do over with now at almost 30 years old.

For you, I would suggest you enjoy what is left of your youth because as you get older you lose the chance to have as much fun as you did when you were a kid. As I said, I speak from experience here. In regard to this girl you’ve been talking to well… the only thing I can say is you should be careful about who you talk to because even if they say their from one place they may not be up front with you. Unless you’re in business or, have mutual friends with someone, you can’t really rely on what someone tells you. I myself have worked with people all over the world and have formed a couple of really good friendships as a result but, that would fall under business because I am in media. Being in media I also have to be accessible to readers and such so I basically am required to use social networking for that purpose. I have a pretty good following internationally so I often talk to people from all over in regard to what I do and what I cover etc.

My advice to you is as I said please enjoy what is left of your youth and, do right by yourself in regard to school and being responsible and such. I don’t mean to sound like a big brother type and I do not intend to preach to you or anything like that but like I’ve said I am speaking from experience as someone who made mistakes when he was your age and didn’t always do the right and responsible things that he should have.

In regard to the girl. I think what you should do is basically be a pen pal with her if she is being legit with you and just be a friend and, see where it goes in time. At your age things like someone’s likes and or interests and feelings change quickly so, it’s better for you to be a friend and see where it goes.
