Like the name says, just list what movie you think is the best you've seen, and say why you think that. Also, though it's not necessary, try to vary the movies named a little bit--it would be nice if this could get used as a resource for people to find good movies they may have missed.

I'll start with the easy one: I'm going with the original Star Wars. It was very good for it's time, and it raised the bar for movie makers everywhere; it became the movie to "beat" and improve on.

YourMajestyKen : I looked through all the living threads and I didn't see anything like this one--there's a horror flick only one that's similar, but it's horror only. I'll let you look this one over, and decide if it's sticky worthy or not. I'm kinda biased on this thread, so I shouldn't make that call.

I'm a huge Sylvester Stallone fan.  The movie has loads of action and suspense.   My second favorite movies of all time are The Empire Strikes Back and Jurassic Park.  But, if I were locked away in a dark room with only a dvd player and a television for eternity with only a handful of movies to bring with me, they'd have to be the three mentioned above and also all the other Star Wars movies, the first 4 Rocky movies, the Indiana Jones movies(the Crystal Skull not included), Ghostbusters 1 and 2, Fight Club, The Boonedock Saints, and Donnie Darko...  although there are many many more I'd like to include in my (eternally locked up and key thrown away) movie list.

My God that would have to be Schindlers List. That movie is one of the best movies that I have ever seen just because it is so good. It really feels real not fake like most other movies do. That is what makes it a classic as well as when Schindler cries at the end. [NOT FOR KIDS]

I think that Paranormal Activity 1, 2, & 3 were the best movies I've seen.. I like them for more reasons than others...For one they had a good plot..two they were funny yet scary, and three its just all out great! The actors are great and the scripts are flawless I enjoy those movies very much!

Ohh that would be Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction for me. They story lines were good and these were directed by Quentin Tarantino who is my favorite director of all times. But the biggest reason that made me love these movies were the character. I can't really explain how you fall in love with these character. Try watching Pulp Fiction and you'll understand.
