Some of you may have noticed the keywords that show up in the footer of the RGR Game Pages and some Thread pages.  That's been a feature for a while now but now I've taken it to the next level.  Now it tracks keywords on all pages on the forum and on the RGR index and search pages.

How does it work?  Well if someone searches for 'retro online games' for example on google, if they land on vizzed, those keywords they used get added to the page they land on.

What is the point?  It increases the strength of the keywords if the keywords are actually on the page.  It also helps me to analyze what pages are bringing in what kind of traffic so that I can better target a specific keyword.  I'm sure it's also fun for a user to see their own threads or profile being searched for on search engines and to see what keywords people use to find their pages.

I also now made it so that those keywords also appear in the Meta keyword tags of the pages and that also increases the search engine rankings of those pages.  Having keywords in the meta tag can greatly increase a pages rank on certain search engines.

Great, now people will be more likely to find Vizzed!

I've been wondering what those keyword things on the bottom were for. I thought they were for the Vizzed search engine, but it doesn't have one.

Someone70 : Well actually the RGR Game Pages have 2 sets of keywords, 1 from search engines and another from the RGR search.  Once I get a thread search feature, I'll do something similar with threads.
