Have you ever had to have physical therapy?

I have. I got a seizure disorder about 6 years ago due to a Doctor misdiagnosing me and giving me a medication that cause the physical ailment. It paralyzed me for four years. I couldn't even bath or feed myself. I eventually had to go through physical therapy. It took me two years before I got all my motor functions back. Another and another two years before I could walk again. Unfortunately, I am not as functional as I was when I was younger, but I am a lot better. It was a battle but I made it through the ordeal. I would never wish anything like that on anyone. It's hard to wake up everyday, be aware of everything but not having any control over your own body.

I gotta say, that's one hell of a mistake on his part. It's good that you recovered from it. 4 years of being paralyzed is such a length of time that most would think they would never recover. I'm guessing you also had to use steroids to regain your original muscle strength. Did you sue the doctor?

Lucky for me I have had anything happen to where I need physical therepy. I don't engage in a whole lot of hard core activities to get myself injured. I do them, but not very often.

Cyro Xero : No actually, I didn't use steroids. I just worked really hard all the time and eventually got my movement back. It was a struggle, I won't lie. But I wouldn't give up. And I never will no matter what happens to me.

I've never had it personally, no. My uncle had it after open heart surgery a few years ago though. Unfortunately, he died about a year later, but  the therapy did help him out those last few months.

I have never had it. An uncle of mine is currently in physical therapy. He has gotten a lot of life threatening cysts in his spinal cord. It has happened 4 times (each on crippling him more than the last) this year. Every time he looks like he is in the clear and makes progress, they grow back, erasing all his progress. Hopefully, he has seen the last of them a few weeks ago. 

I was wondering the same thing Cyro asked. Did you file a lawsuit against the doctor who misdiagnosed you and pretty much altered your life up to this point (even though you found positive from it)? I gotta say, there wouldn't be a way he could win that one, and he would of had to give a LOT of compensation to you.

That is a shame. I'm sure that the years of care and therapy had to be financially taxing, and it is too bad that you at LEAST didn't get compensation for that.
