Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Q. I am of no relation to the recurring character(s) in the Star Trek franchise, the recurring character in the James Bond franchise, nor any other specific things that might come to mind besides the letter itself. As it turns out, Q just happens to be my favorite letter, and since one-letter usernames are actually allowed here, I couldn't help but take the opportunity to use it.

Video games are one of my favorite hobbies, with the Legend of Zelda franchise being my personal favorite, and I enjoy being able to discuss them with others. When searching for a new video game based community to join, I found this lovely place, so I decided to drop in and say, "Hi!"

Anyway, I think that's enough for an introduction. I look forward to seeing you all in my posting adventures!

I couldn't help comparing your name to the N character in Pokemon White and Black, since both are one-letters. It'll probably not stick with you, though, so no worries.

First of all, welcome to Vizzed, a land full of awesomeness. My name is Snowdeath, but you may call me Snow. I'm a part of the staff of Vizzed, and my position is RGR Staff, and if you have any kind of questions regarding to the RGR or even anything, I'm available on PM all the time. However, if you have Board questions, I can answer them, but the questions are better off with the Local Moderators, who has two solid lines in their username. If you have serious and/or severe questions you think requires the highest power possible (except for the owner), take it to the Global Moderators PM, not Local.
Also, take your time reading the rules, as if you break them, the rest of the members would have a problem with you. In meaning, simply be nice!

Welcome to the site! There is a lot to do here, and this place is heaven for video game fans. There are plenty of things to do around here. A huge compilation of a variety of topics in the forums, you can compete for high scores on any NES game (they are working on being able to do it for SNES games as well), and Davideo7 has 2 video game competitions a month using games of his choice. If you want to try getting in on this months competitions before they are over on Wednesday night, check out 'contests' in the Retro Game Room forum. If you have questions, almost everyone is willing to answer them, and the staff are nice and helpful with problems. Have fun!

Oh, I haven't even introduced myself. As you can see my name is AuraBlaze, and you can probably tell it has some reference to a certain Pokemon. The game series was the reason I found Vizzed in the first place, as with registering; however, I have been enjoy the Vizzed Board more so since then. Was The Legend of Zelda series the reason you found this place?

rcarter2 : Thanks for the tip, but video game competitions aren't really my thing. I prefer to immerse myself in the game and take it slowly, and I can't really do that if I'm frantically trying to beat a high score, or something along those lines.

AuraBlaze : Actually, he goes by L, but that's beside the point. Although it might be a surprise to you, I joined for the community rather than the games themselves. As you have noticed, I have been enjoying myself so far.

Natas : It's a pleasure meeting you all as well! My personal favorite of the series is A Link to the Past, admittedly mostly for its nostalgia value as my very first Zelda game, but Majora's Mask, with its unique story and its dark atmosphere, comes in a close second. Link's Awakening gets an honorable mention, though, as it would probably be my absolute favorite if it weren't for the fact that it problematically caters to beginners.

Ahh, very nice. I've haven't played Majora's Mask in quite sometime. It's a entertaining entry of Zelda, but not one of my favorites. Probably, because to me, it's easy to complete and too short of a game and yes, mainly A Link to the Past brings back some nostalgic memories of my past. To bad I don't own the game any longer. The only one I have in my possession now would have to be Ocarina of Time. Either way. I enjoy playing the Zelda series, I believe I've played them all already. If I missed any. I'll make sure I'll tackle it. Heh. 

That's no problem. That is only one thing you can do on the site. I gotta say, you are one of the first people I saw who didn't find this site looking to play retro games. I too have most of mine (which is a large collection), but I don't get to play them as much since I started living with my fiancée, so I can play them here  Anyway, hope you feel welcome.

It does surprise me to hear that you came for the community instead of the games. Most people who register find Vizzed because they are looking for a place to play games like Pokemon or Super Mario Brothers --I am no exception. I wish I had more to say right now, but I'm sure we'll have a great conversation soon --seeing as you are all over the board already.

Natas : Ocarina of Time is certainly one of the best in the series, but I wouldn't really consider it to be a personal favorite. As for playing them all, though, I wouldn't recommend the installments on the Nintendo DS, and I doubt that I have to say more than "CD-i" to remind you that some Zelda games are better left unplayed.

I don't intend on playing the installments on the DS. I mean. I've tried my hands on Phantom Hour Glass and it wasn't to my likings. However, I do want to try my hands on The Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword. I just have to attain me a Wii. That's the only reason why I want a Wii is to play that. Other than that. I'm a playstation man.

Natas : I don't think I've met a Zelda fan who would describe himself as a Playstation man before. Regardless, Skyward Sword certainly looks impressive so far, so I can see why you might want to deviate from your usual preference in consoles. (In my opinion, though, the Nintendo Wii has a handful of fantastic games out for it already, but I suppose the system itself is not everyone's cup of tea.)

Oh, I got you. But in reference to the Skyward Sword, I already have it pre-ordered from Game Stop. Problem is, they have no idea when it will be released. But when it does, I'm getting it immediately. I'm just paying $5 a week until I pay it off. Then I plan to play through all the Zelda games in the chronological order of when they take place.
