Not really. *cracks knuckles* That was actually inadvertent and absent-mindedly. Maybe I do it more that I realize...

Yeah, once in a while. Maybe every 2-3 days every time I get stressed.

Yes and I flipping love it! I do both hands then each finger then pop the thumbs to. It's a habit I just can't seem to get rid of.
It's very useful in queues or if someone is being annoying as they usually move out the way.

Yes I do. I don't like that habit, but I do it anyway. I've read that some doctor performed an experiment where he cracked his knuckles on his left hand only for 60+ years and did NOT do anything to his right hand. He didn't any ailments in either hand and I believe he won the Nobel Prize for it. So I don't think anything negative can come from cracking your knuckles.

I usually crack my knuckles, it's been a habit for over a decade, and it helps to relieve some pressure from me when I want to do something. I don't care/believe that I'll get Arthritis from it, it's my life and I'll enjoy it how I want to.

Yes, I do this a lot. I don't like the sound or how it feels, just if I don't crack my knuckles my fingers get all cramped up. Sometimes I try to crack them, but nothing happens, and I just have to wait.

No, I never crack my knuckles. I don't know how to, nor do I want to. It sounds gross and painful. I don't really know a lot of people that habitually crack their knuckles, but I know that a lot of people say that they do.

I used to do it a lot more in middle school, but now I rarely ever do it because it isn't good for my joints, plus I really don't want to get anything from it, even if it isn't possible, but I don't want to take the risk of it. I might only do it whenever I am stressed, or when my fingers feel as if they could be popped or cracked. Other than that, I really don't make it a regular habit out of it. I'm glad it is one of those habits I have broken out of because I really don't see a point in cracking my knuckles any longer.

I'm starting to feel like I'm the only one who doesn't crack my knuckles....  I've NEVER done it on purpose, and I've hardly ever done it even by accident.

I still do, I don't know why, I strangely like the feeling of my bones cracking, but really it's just bubbles in you body forming, I'm still doing it, but it's not exactly a habbit.

Yeah, I do every now and again. It gets a little cramped up, and I start to crack them to loosen them up a little bit. Not every other hour, though. Maybe 1 or 2 times a day.

I used to do this a bunch, like, up to 10 times a day. The habit quickly ended when I heard rumors of it causing arthritis and so now I only do it about once a day to loosen them up. I crack my neck quite often though.

I do it all the time but it's probably not good to do it. I heard that cracking your knuckles will give you arthritis but I also heard that it doesn't so I'm not sure if it will or not. But yes I do crack my knuckles

I actually did right before seeing this thread, funny how those things work.

Obviously that answers the question lol.

I do hear it's bad for you, but ultimately I feel a lot more limber after doing it.

Have I in the past? Yes, when I was younger. Do I still do it? Heck, no! I can't stand it when people do that.  It scares me and it just-- augh, I can hear the sounds even while I type this post! *shudders* Well, now you know how to get me feeling uncomfortable, hahah.

Slythion :
PrincessTwilight :

That claim was made long before any study was done on the topic. There have been since the claim was made though. There has NEVER been a single study that has been able to link popping joints and arthritis. There are many forms of arthritis, and they are caused by many different things. Some forms are genetic, one is an auto-immune disease, one is caused by uric acid crystal formation, some are natural loss of synovial fluid from aging. None caused from releasing air bubbles.

I am currently trying to stop cracking my knuckles, because it is a really bad habit. I catch myself doing it often, unfortunately. I decided to stop it, and I automatically started the slow down process. It is really bad for my bones, and I know that. I just hope I won't have problems stopping.
