I'm listening to Coalescence, which is a track from the game Risk of Rain that I really like. I found out about the game through some friends in our Discord server a while ago and checked out the OST on YouTube shortly afterward only to be blown away by how amazing the soundtrack is. I didn't know anything about the game, but based on the few images I'd seen, I certainly didn't expect it to have dramatic, monumental music like this. 'Twas a pleasant surprise for sure.

Do yourself a favor and give it a listen, it's slightly on the long side, but it really picks up and crescendos brilliant towards the end. It's definitely worth a listen in my opinion: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ysPtBjY8o_A

I actually ended up liking it and was surprised to see it with over 1.5 billion listens on Spotify. Right now I'm listening to a bunch of FF8 songs. The last one I listened to was Man with the Machine Gun, which was excellent. I'm currently listening to a bunch of amazing Skyrim OSTs I've never heard since I never played the game. So far, Secunda, Streets of Whiterun, From Past to Present, Awake, and Dragonborn have all been stellar. I've added them all to my Video Game OSTs playlist on Spotify.

Skyrim is definitely one of the big games I regret missing the boat on, but I guess when you play it isn't important as long as you enjoy the game.

I've been listening to a few cool anime openings the last few days. The first is the 4th opening for Shangri-la Frontier, which turned into one of my favorite anime songs. The second is the first opening for the new Rurouni Kenshin. The first time I heard it was when I finally tried the anime yesterday and I had no idea it was by two of the biggest Japanese artists, so I liked it almost instantly.
