I'd be shocked if anyone heard of these guys.  They're the definition of One Hit Wonder.  They did one great song that still gets radio time and nothing else.  I can't name another album, another song, another anything by those guys.  I can sing all the lyrics to the song and I get the references.

It's a clever song when you think about what the political message is.

It's amazing how few the number of well known black rock bands are out there. The music's foundation is in blues, the African-American folk music!

I don't care for the term "one hit wonder." That implies that they only made one good song ever despite most people never listening to a band's full catalog. It's very dismissive. Jimi Hendrix was technically a one hit wonder, as was one of my favourite bands, Faith No More. Just because the charts only liked them for one song, that doesn't mean it's all they got. The fact that this is a wholly African-American group is something right off the bat that keeps me interested in them.

Living Colour is absolutely amazing!  I haven't had the chance to see them live yet.  However, at Bonnaroo this past year, Corey Glover (the lead singer) sang for the band Galactic.  The whole set was amazing but Corey Glover made it.  I actually have a few pictures of when he came into the crowd.  His voice is amazing and made me look into Living Colour.  The link is a picture of Corey Glover and the crowd.
