Earlier today there was a pretty huge misunderstanding in the chat room. Basically, there was a person trolling in the chat room. He was making fun of everybody, and everyone was ticked off. I remember being told earlier about a website that I should link trolls to if they were ever annoying me. It was a stupid mistake, and I wasn't thinking. I posted a link to a porn site. I never had any idea that what was on there was actually porn, as stupid as it sounds, I just thought it was a site with something interesting on it that would distract them.

As you can figure, I was reported. The global mods are most likely going to ban me next time they log on. I just wanted this to be a final goodbye. If all goes well, it will only be for a short time.

EmosewaRepus : It's okay. First of all, I never click links unless it's a YouTube video. And you didn't know what it was and it wasn't done on purpose. I am sure the globals will understand.

I wasn't in the chat room when this happened, but judging from what happened I don't think you will get banned for it. I'm sure the globals will understand and give you a warning or something.

that was a very stupid thing to do,you dont post stuff if you dont know what it is,for all you knew that could have been a virus site.
That being said if its a first offence and due to the mature apology i think the mods will give you the benefit of the doubt and a rap on the knuckles.
All i can say is dont do that again.also dont waste your time with trolls,a response is what gets them off,if you ignore them that pretty much ensures they wont come back,the irony is you've actualy got yourself into trouble trying to combat him.
Worst case scenario you'll get a ban.theres no way you'll get a perma ban so dont worry,just take a lesson from it and move on,everyone makes mistakes.the only thing you can do really wrong is fail to learn from them.

However, because you have apologized (multiple times) I only gave you 7 days for a chat ban. Porn is taken seriously here and punished severely. This is a family friendly site.

I'll say this much, you are lucky you only got 7 days. Some people have posted porn and been permabanned.

Just know if it happens again, you likely WILL be permabanned. Don't post links if you don't know whats in it.

It's an honest mistake. Also, you did more than a lot of people would do, try to get rid of the troll. But still, don't post links at all. Nobody's gonna click on them anyway

You posted a link without realizing where it will link to. A bigger reason why you should have been punished (which, you already have been).

Not many moderators who ban pron will take kindly to this issue and will probably permanent ban you for being stupid enough to post a link to a site you don't even know where it links to.
It could have been worst, like a virus site. You could have also cause problems for someone else who innocently clicks the link and in the end gets punished for pornography.

Think about your actions next time because if you did you would ask yourself if the link is safe, even trolls don't deserve to have an entire computer damaged because you don't even know that the link is a virus site (I know it's not in this case).

The 'troll website' was probably a joke article anyways because trolls themselves are the ones who are posting sexual themed things.
