This sounds like it should be in the Polls & Questions, but it does match this forum too...

Anyway, my favorite genres are in this list;

1. Fantasy
2. Romance

... That's pretty much it.

I really like sci-fi and fantasy. They're my favorite genres to write for my stories, too. Haha.

Mine would have to be kind of mystery or more of a just action book. I occasionally like a book that is fantasy but it must be done well.

I love Tom Clancy, him and his hot coals under those sunglasses.

Snowdeath : Really? Romance? You do NOT seem like the type.

I love reading Romantic novels most...and Biographies on serial killers in particular. Any Biography on a favorite celebrity I'd read.

Science Fiction and Thriller are also enjoyable.

billythekidmonster : I KNOW RIGHT?

Eh, not fully romance, just all fantasy, and if it has romance in it, then good. Not actual romance books, though.

As if my nerdiness were not completely apparent already....

Fantasy
Science Fiction
History
Classic Action/Adventure (think Robert Louis Stevenson)
Gothic Horror (Frankenstein, Dracula, etc)
Historical Fiction
Comedy (e.g. Stephen Colbert's I Am America, And So Can You!)
New Age (particularly recipes/grimoires)

It really depends on the book itself for me, but I'm a sucker for Sci-Fi novels.

My favorite genre in books is fantasy/adventure and macabre/horror. I really enjoy reading books from horror and suspense by Stephen King to fantasy and adventure by Christopher Paolini. I also like to read macabre/horror short stories, however fantasy is the main genre that I'm fixated on. Right now I am reading Eldest by Christopher Paolini.

I generally like fantasy and realistic fiction books. I'm not the best with classics unless they really grab my attention, and I can never seem to figure out mystery books.

I don't really read as many books, but if I had to read. I may pick up a mystery novel or maybe a science fiction book.
