1. Bit too drawn out at times.
2. Too much singing
3. Too much attempted humour (do you have any chips?)

Id give it a 7/10
Definitely see next one, was a pretty good film.
And gollum was scary.
Although bilbo got the ring in a different way in the original flashback in lotr, they should have thought that through.

2) Singing is from the book... the Elves were supposed to sing as well, so you got lucky. The Dwarf song, however, is awesome and stuck in my head.

I was more "wtf?" at the ability of them to fall and not get hurt when enemies fall the same distance and die.

They did show kinda the same thing on how Bilbo got the ring in the opening of LotR... they just didn't show all of it. But yeah, I don't think they had planned to do The Hobbit at the time so they didn't really set it up to be the same.

Just watched Cabin In The Woods, WOW!!! Great movie, so much variety its one of those movies where you think it can't get ANY cooler and then all of the sudden it gets cooler!  I just found myself saying no way they are about to do this...WOW they just did that. Good surprise after good surprise I give this movie a 10/10 by far one of my favorite movies of all time!!!

I think I might have posted on here already, but ah well.

We just went and saw Les Miserables in the theater. Awesome movie, if you like musicals. Hugh Jackman did a surprisingly good job singing, although his voice is a bit weak. Russel Crowe did a passable job as Javert, but he's so...blank. I don't know if that's his usual acting job (I don't particularly like his type of movies....) but he played it a bit too cool I think.
The best part about it was that the theater was packed...and there were just as many guys in there as girls, and all ages. The old guy sitting beside my cousin cried at the end. He wasn't the only one. It was so good!
