I WAS RIPPED OFF i bought metroid prime hunters for ds and it didn't work i took it a part and cleaned it and worked i turn it off doesn't work take it a part again AND 1/2 A DAMN HOUR OF CLEANING it works there was rust on it WTF so make sure your games are brand new on e-bay before you buy them

Why do you think half the stuff on Ebay is on Ebay? Mostly because it doesn't work.



This reminds me of a Judge Judy case, which I believe you can find on Youtube, where someone was selling their "cellphone", but instead only gave pictures of the cellphone instead. The problem with the case is that pictures do not weigh nearly as much as the cellphone, so she got caught for that.


On another note, aren't you only 12? You seem to be a little young to be buying stuff from Ebay and such.

your right about half the stuff on e-bay is crap but i use my parents account and they have to approve what i buy :/

You're putting a blanket statement over all of Ebay because you had one bad experience. If you go back and contact the seller, they may offer you a refund. If they do, you give them positive feedback for doing what they could to help. If they refuse to take it back, you give them negative feedback and explain what happened.

Generally, people always check the seller's feedback score before buying from them. If the score isn't perfect, they check the negative feedback for what the person did wrong. They'll see the intelligent note that you left and reconsider whether or not to buy from that person. That's why a good Ebay user doesn't like negative feedback. Just make sure you don't exaggerate or they can go directly to Ebay and get you in trouble.

The feedback system is what keeps Ebay from letting people rip off other people. It's not just a site for people to sell their trash.

I have had to return games before. If you do send them a message, feel free to post their reply here. Depending on what they say, other users here might have an intelligent idea or two about how to reply. Don't just swear at them or be rude. It won't help.

This incident happened to me once my dad bought a Sega Mega drive system from Pixmania.com when the package came the whole thing fell apart literally so it took a few week for my dad to get his refund.So I know how you about being ripped of at online shopping.

XD it fell a part @__@ weird/funny it sucks when you have to wait for the refund

I have bought 3 sealed PS3 games from a user by the name of GameFactory I think the only thing different about the games were the game discs themselves, "you know the shiny rainbow ring in the center of discs?" well it had a circular strip with (white) with in black font Game Factory on it, other than that the PS3 games were in new condition. But I also have bought maybe like 5 used games; and I am trusting, in addition to customer feedback/ratings (a fellow gamer wouldn't screw another gamer would he?) -which I base my purchases off of, they were used, case was in good-ok condition, few, if little (some users specify adult owned, good condition) scratches on disc. So I like to think it is a little bit chance, but customer feedback as well, Ebay does make sure to have a refund policy though.

As far as your problem I feel bad I do not buy stuff online so I never have to worry about that. You should probably talk to the guy you bought it from...

E-bay is a horrible site, if you ask me crags list is a lot better

E-bay isn't to bad just depends on who you buy from :/ i have never tried crags list i'll have to check it out

I've been buying and selling stuff on ebay since 2004 and I've purchased well over 100 items on ebay since I've been a member and I've only been ripped off once.

When buying on ebay, simply use common sense and you can avoid being ripped off.  Tips:
-Check the users feedback rating first!  And if the user has a lot of negative feeback, read those to see why
-Read item description thoroughly
-If the item seems suspiciously cheap, compare its price to other similar items on ebay or other sites, if the price is to good to be true, than it might be
-Don't be afraid to ask the seller questions before buying the item


If I ever plan to buy something new which isn't rare, I almost always buy from Amazon.

Ok well my point was going to be that they probably did say it was refurbished but you probably failed to read the description.

I've only bought a couple things from Ebay ever, and I've always had good experiences with them. However, I've heard of cases of rip-offs (a lot), so I don't think you can trust everything on there. Personally if you're looking for used games I think you should go to Game Stop or something similar, at least there they let you test out the games (and they test them out themselves).

That is what Ebay does to people who buy stuff from it, they rip people off. Especially the games, there are reasons why people put them up for sale.
