This is a repeat of the OJ Simpson trial, in that the wrong verdict was made. They both got off due to lack of evidence.

But it was obvious they both did it.

I hope you are happy Casey Anthony. You won't go to prison, but now you live in hell on earth.

Even if you move away and change your name, people will know it's you. Scum like you get what they deserve in the end.

legacyme3 : First off, I admire your intellect, as you are the only one who actually typed more than 20 words in your post, thus the post has the most quality (sorta, quantity doesn't mean quality, but whatever)

That being said, I believe you, along with most of America (at least everyone I know) are blind to the truth. You think you know what really happened, but you don't have the real details and the background that all the police, the jurors, and the judge have. Everybody was doing their job.

In reality, no matter what you think you know, you don't know if she really killed her kid. You're just piggybacking on what the rest of the audience says. Yes, I get it, a little girl died, and that's tragic, but at the same time (and I've tried explaining this to countless people), HER KID'S DEATH DID NOT CAUSE THE TRIAL.

Further explanation: The trial was created to answer the question "Did Casey Anthony kill her daughter?" The answer, as based on our justice system (which has lasted since years back) is NO. There is no proof, and even if she did do it, are we gonna arrest her based on bad feelings?

Personally, I'm glad she got 30 extra days off, she deserved it. Spending all those days in prison JUST because she was a suspect, that's retarded.

Aside: Should I shoot someone in the head because I SUSPECT they threw something at me? No, because there's no proof, I can't prove they hit me. So they PROBABLY DIDN'T DO WHAT I THINK THEY DID.

I think it's stupid that everyone thinks Casey Anthony should rot in prison because YOU ONLY THINK SHE KILLED HER.

Why do you think she killed her daughter? I watched the trial, and I saw NOTHING that made her the most likely suspect... Nothing.

I can't say for sure if she did it or not. I wasn't there and can't say I am 100 percent sure. However, I do have my suspicions. Here are the reasons why I FEEL she did it.

1. When Caylee was BELIEVED to have been missing, Casey was out partying and having a good time. Now she could have just been neglectful and didn't care what happened to her daughter.

2. She lied numerous times to her family and police about the situation.

3. She waited an entire month to report Caylee missing. And she wasn't even the one to call the police, her mother did.

4. Her lack of emotion when Caylee was missing and when her body was found.

Now, again I am only stating I have my suspicions. I honestly don't think we'll ever know what really happened to Caylee, unless Casey or whomever knows what happened to her comes forward and confesses. And I doubt that will happen. I was shocked when the jury read the not guilty verdict. But again I can see why they did, because they can't be 100 percent sure. And as they said too, not guilty does NOT mean innocent.

So, yes I believe that she either killed her daughter or was somehow involved in her disappearance and murder. Now I don't know which it is, but I feel it's one or the other. But I can't say for sure she did anything.

Sunflower summed up what I had to say. HEr actions after her daughter's disappearance is why I believe she's guilty. Complete neglect of her daughter and all the lies she told would pretty much lead me to the fact that she's guilty.

Is she innocent? Who knows, who cares, shes killed her daughter and her and Nancy Grace both got famous and rich off it. There's more important things to worry about

I look at it this way. She is a terrible parent who is probably liable to leave her child home alone with the door unlocked while she goes to a rave and conniving enough to cast blame on the friends and family who stick up for her to save herself.  If a court of law is still willing to find someone as horrible as this innocent, then there must be a seriously legitimate reason for it. I think that she is right to be acquitted of the crime, but they should take her right back to jail for being a failure as a parent, daughter, and all together irresponsible person. 

Maybe I'm the only one who empathizes with Casey, instead of criticizing her.

Yes, she waited a long time to report her missing daughter, but then again... Wouldn't you wait to report a dead body KNOWING that the earlier you do, the more likely you'll become the prime suspect?

And where did her parents disappear to? She's gone, but her parents are too. Why?

Next, people are always talking about how in jail, she seemed rather happy talking about a tv deal or whatever that would make her rich. Instead of wondering "Why didn't she beat herself up every day in jail and torture her own mind like I want her to?", ask yourself this. If you were in jail, what better things would you talk about after three years?

Instead of telling everyone she's guilty for what she didn't do, try wondering why she did what she did. Think about the human aspect of it all, instead of just convincing yourself she's a killer.

I don't mean to make this personal, just try to think about it where YOU are Casey Anthony. What would you do in the same scenario? Start out with "My child died. Now what do I do?"

Zeldisaster : You're obviously not reading me clearly. I said I have my SUSPICIONS that she either was involved somehow OR she killed her daughter. And if you read it clearly you would notice I said I am not 100 percent sure about it, that's why it's called a suspicion. I don't appreciate you putting your own words into my mouth. And the only way I would be convinced she didn't have any involvement is if evidence is found pointing to someone else.

And if my child had an accident, I'd call 911, I wouldn't try to cover it up.
