   The most overrated Pokémon in all generations, in my opinion, is obviously Charizard. No one ever gives any love to Blastoise or even Venusaur. Every time I see a thread or a video of every one's top 10 Kanto region Pokémon Charizard is always number one and I have no reason why. It is a good Pokémon but come on, I think that Arcanine is a way better option for a fire Pokémon than Charizard. But, Charizard's ability to fly is almost unmatched to all of the starters and saves you from getting one of the weaker flying types such as Fearow and Pidgeot (but both are still very good). 
   In other words, Blastoise has to be one of the most UNDERRATED Pokémon in Generation I. I don't know why, but it seems that no one likes it at all but I do! Charizard is OK but, of course,  it is way too overrated by many people.

I could sit here and agree with all of this (mostly because it's true) but I play Pokemon Ruby a lot more than Fire Red and I'd have to say one of the most overrated Pokemon in that game is Mudkip. Now don't get me wrong, I like Mudkip and it's stronger evolutions, but I'm so tired of seeing "LOL YOU LIEK MUDKIPS?" everytime it gets brought up. And even though I like it, it has it's limitations. I'm honestly more of a fan of Torchic than it, I only picked it because of my tradition to start each new game with the water-type starter..

Firs of all, Charizard is not overrated. Great stats, good move pool, and the best starter in his generation. Also, being a fire/flying Pokémon is awesome. I will agree that Rattata is the most overrated Pokémon ever.

For me the most overrated pokemon would have to be either charizard. they all say it is the most epicest pokmeon ever. But a blastoise could easily kick butt with a quick hydro pump. It also now has a weakness to electric typesand a 4x weakness to rock types and i'm telling you now if you want a good pokemon  just get a blastoise
