What is the best way to impress someone?

when you do something cool dont show off about it so it looks like its the norm for you just get active learn a few trick of the trade as you go along really, just do what ever you enjoy and get good at it and follow through (not that kind of follow through -.-)

You are being extremely broad, and I will not burden you as to state a single answer as it could easily be irrelevant. What do you mean "to impress someone" exactly? Do you mean impress a boss, show up a friend or, as I think you mean, attract a person you like to you? This next bit is 100% rhetorical, so don't answer it on this forum if you do not feel the necessity to. Why do you want to impress them, and is it ultimately worth it? 

If you are determined to proceed, however, the best thing you can do is be natural. Find a common ground to work with, and proceed across the swamp on that. Try not to get too personal unless it is necessary, right away anyways. I guess the old saying of "be yourself" fits reasonably well here.

Showing off, bragging, or getting cocky tends to lead to mistakes. As stated previously, act natural, and be yourself. When you aren't yourself people start to dislike you or label you as a liar. And you probably don't want that to happen.

Since this is under relationships, I would say finding out about things that they like and excelling in it and having them take notice and not bragging about it. Or just examine their personality. If They are easily impressed, then perform a spectacular feat that would impress most people. If they are more serious then show them your ability to work hard, your work ethic, and impress them through your dedication to what you do. I'm just generalizing though. But make sure that you can actually do what your trying to do, because if you are just faking it, they will end up with a poor opinion of you and be very unimpressed.

When we fall in love with someone we seldom want to impress that person.....doing things that the person likes....even if we do not value it that much........(impress in the positive sense)

I think the best way to impress someone is just to be yourself, and then maybe take her out and prove how much you love her, I assume most women will be impressed by the amount of effort you put into her

Be yourself. I've been taught that as a kid, and I still stand by it. If they don't accept you, fine. It means the world to me if I'm accepted by people for being myself.

I agree with Viz, the best way to impress someone is to be yourself. If the person accepts you for who you truly are than you're bound to have a long lasting true relationship with that person.

I would say that if you do something cool like being good at sports or something like that. Either that or you try to be funny or something.

Be confident in yourself. That will go the longest way to impressing a girl. Also be sweet and kind and not a totally jerk and she'll also be very impressed. In high school there were so many jerks and all the good guys were taken simply because they were so kind. My boyfriend likes to say that girls like to be treated horribly and from what I've seen that is partially true. Though it might be more of the fact that girls don't know any better. So be the rare guy that treats her like the living goddess she is and you should have all sorts of girls at your door.

Being funny, confident, gentlemanly, while being you is a good way to do it. However, I think it's best when you don't really do anything and just be real. I think that's really impressive. For example, a lot of times my friends and I are just sitting around the house doing nothing, but we're doing nothing together so that makes it impressive.

Technically being yourself is the best thing to do, as well as doing the stuff she or he likes to do.

Confidence breeds success.

If you believe you are impressive, then you can probably make someone else think you are too. You just need to speak knowing what you are talking about, and be open and willing to admit faults when you are wrong. It's all a matter of confidence in the face of humility.

I would do something nice for that person. If you do not want to do that, then find out what that person likes and hopes to be able to have some things in common.
