I feel saddened and betrayed.

Unless they somehow bring Spiderman back to life (not the new gay one, but the one that we know and love), this will only hurt the comic's appeal going forward.

I was a fan until this point. Unless the new Spiderman is like say, the current green goblin, or something, this move will be underwhelmingly stupid.

RIP Peter Parker. The only true Spiderman.

Off note- Can't wait for them to put this in a movie *facepalm*

that's only 1 series that he is dying in. There are other series for Spiderman where he's not dying

I love Spiderman, and am a fan, though haven't read too many of the comics, I actually liked Toby as Peter Parker in the last 3 films. I will still enjoy the new one as a fan, but miss Toby as I grew up with him in mind as Spiderman.

That is only one series of Spiderman comics that Spidey died in...there are literally hundreds of series of Spiderman comics, so this may be a dieing breed, but he will live on in the future, just watch.

I read the article. I'm thinking they had a storyline plotted out that had invovled his death. At least, I want to say that's what the reason for doing this. Had it been a move just to kill him off then they could have gone with a few other alternatives. Things like him wanting to leave and go somewhere else in the world for a long time, or forever, or him somehow losing his powers and going off to live somewhere with M.J. The fact that they didn't choose a different option means they meant to do this, as that particular series is continuing, but with another person as Spidey. And it's just as a couple of you said, it's only one series of several he's in. Think of it as an alternate time line that "could have been" or a parallel dimension.

I think its sad...but if hes dead then..wait..OH never mind I figured myself out..

I think it ruins their company spider man was the second best superhero in the word! (my opinion I think daredevil was my favorite)

What saddens me is how few people realize that the Peter Parker who died was the Peter in the Ultimate universe and not the one in the mainstream Universe. In the main universe Spider-man never died and probably never will. The Ultimate universe is just that a different universe where they can take risks that can't be made in the main universe.
