As a rule I always suggest waiting til the second gen console comes out if you get it at all. Do you like the games coming out for it? Do you have a Wii? Is it really that much better than the Wii or is the only reason you want it because it is shiny and new?

Those are questions you need to ask yourself. Personally, I wouldn't but that is because Nintendo hasn't put out an interesting game in years so I didn't even bother to buy the original Wii.
